Time to fire Chauncey and sign Ime Udoka
When a team decides to blow it up, making trades to get younger and more athletic, the fan base can't expect the team to be competitive right away! Nor can they expect to be good two years in. IT TAKES TIME! We can't do what other teams do, like a blockbuster trade to bring in a superstar player because we don't have the personnel other teams desire, without trading away our best core players. We are now going for a good draft pick…not trying to seriously win games. We're giving the young players real game time experience so they can get better, quicker.
You fans thinking Chauncey should be fired simply don't know what the Blazers are trying to do, nor do you know what management has in mind. THEY KNOW this is a long term project and it takes patience! Chauncey is going nowhere. He isn't responsible for what's happening – THE PLAYERS ARE! We simply haven't got the players to be really competitive just yet. BE PATIENT. It's possible, this summer after the draft, that we have some talented players that could be used to make a decent trade, but most likely, we are gonna try to entice a good free agent to come play here.

Chauncey isn't going anywhere! Nurk isn't going to be replaced until we have a quality center on the team to take over for him! You can't trade Nurk without someone to replace him! He is what clogs the middle and changes the game with him in there at center. Sure, some fans don't care for him, but nothing can happen unless we have another center to take his place…FIRST.
I'm applauded at how many fans here in these comments simply don't know what's going on, or how a team blows it up and rebuilds. IT DOESN'T HAPPEN OVERNIGHT or within a year or two! It's a long term project…

We F up. When Billups took over we were a 6th seed. We didn't get enough in return for CJ, Nance, Norm, Roco. All we got back was Grant. Billups has the worst ATO play calls. Most blown games up by 15+pts, 25+pts. This guy is an inexperience HC. But we didn't plan well.
