  1. "That's why I'm so critical of Anthony Davis." You and me both! Yes, he has all of the potential in the world. The reality is that he is injured about for a third to a half of each season, and he plays passively for 50% of the games that he actually plays.
Don't believe it? Check out these stats for the last 3 seasons (combined):

AD games with 20+ points: 87
AD games with < 20 points: 142 (either due to being injured or passive)
Percentage of Lakers games where AD contributed 20+ points: 38%

Now check out LeBron's stats for the same 3 seasons (combined):
LBJ games with 20+ points: 129
LBJ games with <20 points: 100
Percentage of Lakers games where LBJ contributed 20+ points: 56%

Now look at what LeBron was doing at AD's age for 3 seasons:
LBJ games with 20+ points: 184
LBJ games with <20 points: 62
Percentage of games LBJ contributed 20+ points: 75%

If you think this is only true for scoring, it's not! Look at the same type of analysis for rebounds+assists for the last 3 seasons:
AD games with 12 or more rebounds+assists: 97
AD games with < 12 rebounds+assists: 132 (either due to being injured or passive)
Percentage of Lakers games where AD contributed 12+ rebounds+assists: 42%

Now look at what LeBron's stats for the same 3 seasons:
LBJ games with 12 or more rebounds+assists: 121
    LBJ games with <12 rebounds+assists: 108
Percentage of Lakers games where LBJ contributed 12+ rebounds+assists: 53%
Percentage of games LBJ contributed 12+ rebounds+assists at AD's age: 65%

AD has the potential to perform better than LeBron (and he does sometimes). The frustration is that he is injury-prone and often passive. Comparing him to LeBron just shows the type of consistency AD should have as the co-superstar on the team. The younger AD should be outperforming the older LBJ, but due to his injuries and passivity LeBron has contributed much more consistently than AD over the last 3 seasons (surpassing the thresholds roughly 55% of the time compared to AD surpassing the thresholds roughly 40% of the time). Those percentages, in NBA team winning percentage terms, would correspond to being a 4-5 seed for the playoffs versus being one of the worst 4-5 teams in the entire league.

THAT is "why I'M so critical of Anthony Davis." His lack of reliability is incredibly frustrating!

  2. KD got a lot of good shots it honestly looked more like he was just missing but he looked timid moving like he was wasn’t tryna put a lot of pressure on his legs jaden and the wolves were playing good defense though

  3. Dennis is not a top 5 player on the lakers, Dennis was a huge reason for the bench performance. He didn't deserve the minutes he got

  4. Petition to get jason as assistant coach for the lakers pls?😂 that way we have the locker room guy in ham and then the more strategic mind in jason

  5. Beyond the Wolves roster being absolutely wrecked by intestinal flu AND on a back to back, the Zebras helped PHX out with a 2x FT ratio and helpful crunch time calls down the stretch – the Wolves STILL pushed PHX to the brink. They can make noise.

  6. Awesome points about the suns Jason, as a fan our weaknesses are we can get pushed around a bit and we don't get to the rim enough which means no free throws! Been our Achilles heel past couple years. Cp3 is the most important player we have for this run we need him to be consistent and healthy

  7. Ham has clearly "badly" staggered AD, LeBron and DLo for a reason: he wants to build continuity as much as possible, as quickly as possible. He found his starting and closing lineup, and he wants those guys to know how to play together when needs be.
He knows how to stagger player, he just needs the continuity to be there and he has very little time to build it up.
Bron, AD and DLo all had time to build rithm with Troy Brown, Dennis Schroeder, Rui Hachimura and so on. They didn't have any time to do it between themselves.

  8. It’s funny how no matter what content I watch the underlying theme is Darvin Ham is incompetent as head coach

  9. It seems like once a player attains consensus “best player in the league” they don’t get voted MVP anymore

  10. Firstly, I have no problem with Giannis winning the MVP, but don't ever say that Jokic's offense is just slightly better than Giannis and Embiid and is in the same ballpark. He is far ahead on offense and is one of the best offensive players of all time.

  11. Kevin Durant is a 6'11 pure shooter.
A weakside backdoor cutter behind the defense for layups would be great.
