This is the list of rookies who have averaged 20 ppg as a rookie: https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/rookies-who-averaged-at-least-20-ppg
It’s elite to the e.
Paolo has scored 1373 points so far this season in 69 games. He’s currently at 19.9ppg. There are six games left for him to pass 1500, which would give him 20ppg. He will need to average 21+ppg rest of the way.
The playoffs is out of the question. The organization needs to support him by making sure he gets the opportunity to make it.

If you change that list to rookies under 21 years old there’s only 8 on the list, and that includes 4 HOFers + Luka + Zion
It’s a bit Apple and oranges (pace, minutes), but if you eliminate those who haven’t played at least half the season…
Zion played a measly 24 games, does statmuse not care about sample sizes?
If we don’t start seeing a rookie averaging 20+ ppg every year with the way people keep trying to dismiss this because “scoring is easier” now, I’m going to be insufferable on social media
Less turnovers, dribbling and being predictable would do more.
