With an upcoming game with LAC and the Tiebreaker over NO, Lakers are in full control of their seeding.

With NO’s win over LAC, we are now tied in the lost column with both teams. We own the tiebreaker with NO, and get a chance to force a loss onto the LAC. This means that even if the pels win the rest of their games and the clips win every game we don’t control, the Lakers will clinch the 6th seed if we win out.

Also possible, but out of our control, if GS loses just 1 game and we win out, we have the 5th seed (tiebreaker baby), and the opportunity to kick KD and the bitch-ass Suns out in the first round.

Obviously winning out is not a given, but our seeding is now 100% in our own hands. No need to watch other teams’ games anymore. Take care of business, and we in.

Beating both the Clippers and Suns will be tough

  3. Yep. If we go 5-0, we are 6th. We could still get 6th, if the clippers or GSW lose more but 5-0 guarantees us at least 6

  4. So…we pretty much need to win the next 3

    Houston
    Utah
    Clippers

Going 3-2 also now guarantees the play-in no matter what the Mavs and Jazz do.

This Clippers game is the biggest game of the Season. Reasons being the Pelicans gotta play Kings, Grizzlies, Knicks and Timberwolves. They could potentially lose all those games Clippers only have 3 games left if we go 3-2 with one of our Wins being against the Clippers we could get the sixth seed and be 1 game ahead of them.

The Lakers ending up with the fifth seed after that cursed first half of the season would certainly be something.

That clippers game will have huge implications but unfortunately the Lakers are majorly getting the short end of the stick because they will be coming off a B2B while the Clippers will be coming off 3 days of rest

Lakers just can’t beat the Clippers, they never come to play against them.

I would love a SAC/LA series so much, so many great memories in that rivalry.

  11. Shit you guys only 1 week left of regular season basketball

    It’s do or die

6th seed is the dream. First round matchup with the kings is very ideal.

I hope things don’t go too good and we end up 5

6th seed is a perfect seed for the Lakers, let Warriors go against KD Suns.

The irony is that there’s a possibility the Lakers beating Phoenix will work on their favor if they meet in the first round

Edit: also Utah on the road might be a trap game. Even tho it’s a completely different team, Lebron has a losing record playing in Utah since he joined the Heat I think, so I’m not counting out that possibility lol

  16. Win every game and we’re a top 6 seed, 5-0 gonna be tough but 4-1 is very attainable, only potential loss should be to the suns

Warriors vs PHX first round would be beautiful

Anybody saying we should root for the pelicans before that clippers game missed this. We control our destiny. That’s all you could possibly ask for. It’s an ideal situation

The nba this year is crazy. very underrated rosters thru out the league. The Pelis and Clippers game will decide our fate. Both games will be tough .
