Is there a chance that Markkanen gets traded?

Markkanen was brought from the Cavs in the mitchell trade, and has clearly exceeded all expectations becoming an all star and a potential all NBA player as well.

But the Jazz clearly don’t wanna win now, hence why they traded Conley, Beasley and Vanderbilt for basically a 1rp, and they didn’t expect Markkanen to be this good which harmed them in the race for Wembanyama.

My question is: is he too good for the Jazz? It reminds me a lot of what the Spurs did with DeJounte Murray last year.

Would love to hear you thoughts!

I mean probably at some point. I don’t think it’s going to be this summer unless something insane happens

It’s nothing like Dejounte with the Spurs.

He was there for five years as the team got worse and worse. They finally flipped to rebuild mode so it makes sense to trade their best player for future picks.

Lauri is a core part of the Jazz rebuild. He’ll be here for at least the next couple of seasons to figure out who exactly could be part of a contending team.

Why the fuck would the jazz trade Lauri ?

Like literally no chance in hell?

Lauri is on a favorable contract, has become an All NBA & All Star player and a key piece to the Jazz rebuild.

And after this season, the Jazz are very much going to try and win. They are a borderline playoff team already, wait until they add some players through the draft, Free Agency & trades this offseason.
