Would Kuminga start in a suns matchup if Wiggins isn’t back? Kerr seems to like starting Kuminga when the opposing team has a star wing.
Reading into a lil about the new cba , I don’t think joe lacob and Peter guber would be losing much sleep about it. I think it’ll mostly affect the players rather than the team. In other words a vet or fa would have to look at the team construction and highest bidder on a minimum salary. We’ve been known for years to have guys join us to contribute to our success and set them up for a better position in fa. I don’t think that’s stopping us from getting guys to come play for us it’s just that now we’d only offer a minimum. But I do think we shouldn’t have to be penalized for having great scout personnel’s in order to draft well
It does makes sense in Joe’s belief in going young because he probably foresee this coming. He probably knows what these owners are saying about him. So I could see why he was so adamant about wiseman. The problem with going young is they have to go through their mistakes wether it’ll win or lose a game as part of their development. Problem is we don’t have that luxury since our core isn’t done competing for chips.
How do y’all feel about playing Phoenix in the first round?
What’s astounding to me about the potential of a Suns Vs Warrior matchup is people are suddenly forgetting it’s a team game and solely focusing on KD Vs. Core 3.
Top to bottom I’d take the warriors over the suns.
Last years suns I think would have provided a better challenge.
They lost 3 top tier defenders and only really got KD, who is decent on that end and otherworldly on offense.
Defensively the warriors have improved. Even if Wiggins doesn’t return JK’s improvement washes that out DDV is a beast in that end. If wiggs does return? GP2/DDV/ Wiggs/JK/ Dray. it’d be a gauntlet for the suns on offense. And then they’d still have to find the energy to keep up with Steph/Klay/Poole on the other end.
Getting KD compromised their depth something severe and I think it’s being way undersold.
