I really dont know in what reality this will happen but I am here for the discussion. The Celtics are in prime position to extend JB and what will the Rockets give the Celtics that would match losing JB?

Brown is not treated like a 6th man. Brown’s usage is on par with KD’s (higher than Curry’s) and he’s top 6 in FGA’s per game.
The situations are nowhere near the same. Brown isn’t a diamond in the rough, he’s more like a diamond on full display in the Harry Winston collection
He should make an all nba team and the Celtics should offer him the supermax so I doubt he’s going anywhere, if he doesn’t make at least the all nba third team than the nba has it out for the Celtics period
If they get the #1 pick in the draft and can trade Wembanyama for JB, that’s the only way this comes even remotely close to happening.

If JB were to leave I really don’t see him going to any team that’s not realistically competing for championships. From his interviews he prioritizes winning just as much as being a top guy on the team

I’ve learned that nothing in the NBA is truly impossible, but this seems pretty unlikely, no?
I’ve always thought that if Jaylen was to ever leave (and hope to god that he doesn’t) that he would be interested in the Heat. Miami, their culture, the way they play basketball as a team, their track record of success, and he could get the opportunity to truly be the guy there.
I like the pieces that Houston has, I mean they beat us this year so it shows they have talent, but they seem a long way off from being truly competitive.

Im pretty sure every single teams gonna take a run at him when he hits free agency. Hes too good for teams not to at least pick up the phone. Celtics are gonna have to put in the work to keep him.
