Before the ’94 – 95 season, nobody expected the new kid on the block to take the league by storm. Within 6 years of being added as an expansion team, the Orlando Magic had finished atop the Eastern Conference on the road to the ’95 NBA Finals – even taking out the Chicago Bulls after Michael Jordan’s return.
Although they fell short to the Houston Rockets in the finals, the Orlando Magic were one of the most exciting teams to come out of the 1990’s. Their young superstars Shaquille O’Neal and Penny Hardaway had the world at their feet, Horace Grant brought across three-peat experience and Dennis Scott was an elite three-point gunner on the wing.
