    1. Russ has been great but they aren’t going to overhaul the roster to make a max spot for him. Part of the reason Russ is thriving is because all our role players fit his style, so to toss everything or most everything out the window to fit him salary wise would hamstring the team.
    2. I know our writers want Dame, but he literally poses the same problem in that if you want him you’d have to gut the team to get him and would be left with a shell of a roster. Not to mention any picks that portland would want as well, and if Mann and Bones prove anything its that this team needs younger guys with legs so losing draft picks hurts on a few levels.
    3. Breaking up the core makes no sense since Balmer* wants a competitive team for intuit when they open so breaking the core apart isn’t likely, a re-tool based on one or both is more likely.

Changing Dame for PG and stuff is just perfect, Dame is a known performer we can trust. PG is sus as it gets and gets more injured than Dame.
Get russ out, he can’t play 4th, he shouldn’t get our money

Russell is not getting another max deal from anyone. Lame is not worth the supermax deal he received and anyone who trades for him will be in the same position Portland is in. Kawhi and PG will finish out their current contracts.
