I d rather to trade #2 from #7 instead of #23 where you can find a solid player (Desmond Bane as example) as TJD or Colby Jones or a freshman with high upside (Lively, Whitehead,Clowney). Memphis has became a contender through draft picks. If Portland continues to build around Dame future won't be bright
Rebuilding around Shaedon is a smart choice. Lillard is 33 and it's probably the last year which can bring back several draft picks
But can he do that as the second or third option? Sure, he’ll have more help once Dame and Ant comes back, but as we’ve seen from Ant, it’s a different mentality playing behind someone. Ant plays much better when he’s leading the team as opposed to thinking about when to attack.
