Luka plays no defense. Also Luka “anybody can score on us.” Hopefully he’s self aware enough to recognize his own shortcomings on that end of the floor.
They are just too small. Besides Luka they are undersized at every position. Even Luka is undersized when you consider that he’s basically the 4 defensively.
Even the guys who are supposed to be good defenders (but aren’t anymore apparently) like Bullock, Holiday, Ntilikina or Green are really guards defensively, and overmatched trying to guard bigger wings.
Honestly not that they are awesome or anything but I still think they should at least try to start Wood and Kleber together just to have at least adequate size

They need to fire Kidd the second this season is over. I genuinely believe he’s their main problem. Coach Bud did so much more and brought the bucks to a championship compared to when they were a perennial first round exit with Kidd.
There’s a reason why his teams always gets worse after the 2nd year. It’s only gonna get worse from here unless they get rid of him and get some semblance of a front court.

He’s going to have to watch film and realize how many easy baskets he gives up from a lack of focus during off-ball movements; I assume he has a good idea already of that.. Hopefully, they figure out a better balance offensively for him to spend more mental energy defensively while improving his stamina.
Doesn’t seem a very difficult fix if Kyrie is re-signed. The harder thing is they’ll asssumedly resign Wood with how the cap works and getting Wood to play with better winning habits seems magnitudes harder.
He should start playing defense that would help.
I mean Luka is a HUGE reason as to why they are this bad defensively but the more concerning part for them is nothing would really change even if he suddenly started playing defense. They are just too undersized and can’t grab rebounds or succesfully box out half the time.
