I went to the sixers game in portland this year and was screaming “MVP” as loud as I possibly could during Embiid’s FT’s at the end of the game before he checked out. Annoying? Maybe but that’s my guy so IDGAF.
I had multiple groups of nephews approach me after the game talking shit on Embiid and how he’ll never be the MVP because nobody likes FT’s and blah blah. They were reciting all of the talking points that run rampant on Reddit and Twitter verbatim.
Like, they had literally just watched Embiid drop an effortless and efficient 32 points in an easy win, with only 7 FT’s compared to Dame’s 10. Yet they couldn’t see it through their lens of ignorance.
These people don’t have the ability to formulate thoughts of their own. They’re the lowest common denominator.
