Dallas Mavericks had the best winning percentage of any team in 2000-2004 besides the Spurs/Kings. They had a higher winning percentage than the Lakers in the stacked west.
Why is this important?
If you don’t learn from the past you are doomed to repeat it. You let an MVP level talent like Nash walk and now you let Brunson walk.
Who knows if they will even resign Kyrie. Even if they do you are stuck with gaping holes on the defensive end and center.

Mavs won 67 games, had a league mvp, went to 2 nba finals, and won a championship all after nash left. Their are similarities and repeated mistakes with losing both players but this franchise certainly didn’t take a step back the first time around.
