teach your kids money management and financial responsibility

  2. Sayomom

Not sure why the NBA doesnā€™t follow suite similar to NFL & help NBA players post retirement and in a crunch. Would help tremendously and itā€™s not like they canā€™t

  3. Competitive_Office91

He musta missed the ESPN 30 for 30

  4. Eric_T_Meraki

Pullout game just like his pull-up game last season. WEAK!

  5. Exact-Permission5319

Either someone is taking advantage of him financially, or he’s lying to hide his assets in the divorce. Based on the description of his properties alone, they could be sold to satisfy his financial obligations. Judge will see right through this.

  6. TheMidnightRamblerrr

Yea thatā€™s quite unfortunate for Arizas baby mamas

  7. Gwbzeke

Damnnn thatā€™s crazy he played for like 20 years too

  8. aginglifter

These guys have to manage their money carefully. He should get into coaching.

  9. The_King_In_The_Bay

He ain’t filing for bankruptcy. Who knows what ‘ low’ is compared to what others are paying. Damn, stay out of people business a little

  10. Rentfreelakerfan

Looking into the details… absolutely ridiculous spending by him and his ex wife holy shit.

  11. Skrappy_Doo

Nah he’s not broke he’s lowering payments since he’s no longer in the league. Money management has nothing to do with this. Just like Chris bosh did when he was in Miami.

  12. ChrisRhodes789

Ariza made 116 MILLION for his career & he is crying poverty?!?

    FOH.

  13. Dagenius1

I love Trevor and his family. This is unfortunate.

  14. tranquilrage24

a lot of you dont read beyond a headline and then give insight into someone elseā€™s life. the article is basically saying that he is going thru a divorce and his wife is demanding enough money to maintain a lavish lifestyle, money she didnā€™t earn herself or break down her body for. youā€™d think most could understand trevorā€™s motivations

  15. FuckRandyMoss

If you put a baby in her make sure she stays around lmfaoooo. Protect yourself

  16. TronTeemo

What Trevor pays for just eating out is my mortgage a month plus my utilities

  17. timmyrigs

Heā€™s rich broke, very different than us regular broke.

  18. bruswazi

Lesson here? NBA player with millions in the bank, why get marriedā€”you donā€™t need the tax breaks. If marriage is absolutely a necessity, prenup. If kids enter into the equation, set up a living trust to protect your estate and assets. But really, why get married in the first place?

  19. SixGunChimp

    >Bree said the support should be sufficient so that she could maintain the extravagant life she had while married.

A lot of haters in the comments . He made his money his way , donā€™t be mad yā€™all making it your way . Besides he shouldnā€™t be paying for no female heā€™s not with anymore . They miss independent until taxes come and they claim dependents šŸ˜‚ n when you ainā€™t providing for her , you ainā€™t shit . Lesson here is make better choices in life . As in , choose your people wisely , invest for the future , and stop leaving the toilet seats wet with piss after yā€™all use it .

  21. millennialtragedies

The biggest loser in this situation are his children who have to watch their parents battle it out in court

  22. twistedinnocence8604

I have no sympathy for these morons. Dude probably made at least 50 million over 15 years. That’s 50 times more money than average person makes in lifetime. If you’re too stupid to blow it you deserve what happens to you.

  23. podster12

Reminds me of that active nba player that maintains a simple lifestyle saying ā€œI ainā€™t playing forever so I better save some for when Iā€™m done playing.ā€

  24. threshing_overmind

This is what his legal team is claiming and Iā€™m sure the accounts are set up to confirm the amounts. Still no one knows how much he did or did not stash away specifically for hiding from prying bull collectors. Both sides are claiming exactly what anyone would expect them to claim about the others finances.

  25. Lakerman0824

California courts are a joke. Men usually have no say the court almost always sides with the women

  26. victorioussecret7

Heā€™s my neighbor lol I see that Maybach and Rolls Royce, who he tryna hide from?

  27. ThatBigNoodle

Mandatory financial literacy courses for players on rookie contracts

  28. lkarma1

I donā€™t know his story directly, but saw a documentary on Antoine Walker. Itā€™d be very proactive for all pro sport leagues require mandatory onboarding training / classes for fiscal responsibility and other life skills with all new players to help them prepare for the limelight.

  29. PanchoVillasRevenge

Haha 2500 to his girlfriend!? Pinche Trevor, got no game

  30. dsharp314

How does asking for lower child support equate to luxury lifestyles. Maybe he needs an adjustment because he is getting paid millions anymore šŸ˜

  31. 96tillinfinity_

Shes a greedy woman but honestly I do not feel bad. He has multiple baby mothers

Pro athletes get blessed with 1% genetics and throw it all away cause they cant control their seed

Hope he doesnā€™t get destroyed in the divorce but pro athletes need to wake up to this stuff

  32. Blo1630

No empathy. Even the lowest paid nba player makes enough to survive. Iā€™m sure he had at least a couple million dollar contracts.

  33. mo3mon3y

didnt he make 15 million a year just a couple of years ago.

  34. FlawRiDuh

This is why I didnā€™t push thru with my plans to play center for the Lakers.

Aside from the fact I am 62, 185 pounds and 5ā€™6ā€ and didnā€™t make the basketball team in 8th grade.

  35. Ghost_Farther

He may be doing this to reduce payments Lmao
