[Eric Nehm] A limited update from Mike Budenholzer on Khris Middleton post-game. Called it a “re-aggravation” of Middleton’s right knee soreness.

  1. Just take my fucking knee. I will give to Khris for a bag of lays.

We can win first round without him if need be

at least it isn’t the left knee that he sprained the MCL

Hopefully a week and a half is enough time for him to rest and recover

Calling it a re-aggravation doesn’t seem promising to me. I feel like they would’ve just called it knee soreness if they were being precautionary. Hope I’m wrong.

Take my knee, we just all sit here anyways!

Yes this puts a damper on our collective mood.
But, we do have players who can step up; which is what hurt us last year when khris went down vs Boston.
    Jingles, Jevon, Jae, Goran
And Jrue and Bobby are playing better than ever.

Obviously we want khris back asap – and it’s hard to imagine wining the LOB w/o him; but for the foreseeable future we are gonna be ok!

Means nothing. Hope he can rest and come back for the playoffs.

It’s concerning that the knee issue persists the whole season despite Kawhi level load management. Also the first time he re-aggravated it in December, Khris missed a month. And if I remember correctly there wasn’t a clear issue, just swelling and pain after slowly getting in game shape.

Fucking stupid injuries. First Pat, then Allen, and now Khris. Come on… Is a fully health roster too much to ask for the playoffs?

My hope is that he was originally supposed to be ruled out for the game anyways as part of his load management regimen but tried to play through it before Bud just ruled him out.

If not then god help us all.

  11. When they pulled Khris, they were at a point where they just needed to win one of the next 3 games to clinch the one seed. All year we’ve seen this training staff be extra cautious with injuries, and even moreso the closer we’ve gotten to the playoffs.

Until I hear otherwise that this is a significant injury, I’m gonna believe it’s entirely precautionary given how close they are to the playoffs and how much this team needs a healthy Khris. They literally had no reason to play Khris (because they can beat the Bulls even undermanned), so why let Khris play through even a small twinge of knee pain

Nooo no no no pls hope it’s not serious

I unfortunately was not able to watch the beginning of the game when he went out. Did he sustain any kind of contact injury or a freak injury or was he just pulled because he wasn’t feeling right?

Get the knees over toes guy in here ASAP. Whatever they’ve been doing is not working!

The real question is will he be worth $40-50m/yr for a 3-4 yr contract extension?
