How does the NBA Play-In work? The NBA Play-In Tournament involves teams ranked 7th-10th in each conference (8 teams in total) competing for the final two playoff spots and it is composed by 3 games for each conference: the 7th and 8th seeds play each other, with the winner clinching the 7th seed.
This is where Obi Toppin needs to show this coach that he’s more than a subpar 3 point shooter and transition dunker. But in being fair to Obi, if this coach doesn’t try to maximize what he does best, then he will ultimately be set up to fail. Toppin needs to get out on the floor and say “🤬 it, this coach doesn’t have much faith in me, so I’m gonna play my game”! Toppin plays soft generally, he shies from contact and is very weak physically. His body pretty much looks the same from when he entered the league, so I will question if he truly gets in the gym and puts in some serious weight training, similar to his buddy IQ. So if he pisses away this opportunity playing weak, and being a BS spot up shooter, with piss poor defense, he can expect to get no playoff burn. And he’s punched his ticket of of this team.
