The PERFECT Play-In Scenario For The Toronto Raptors

The regular season is winding down and in all likelihood it looks like the Toronto Raptors will find themselves in the Play-In Tournament this season. Sitting at 38-38, there’s still time for the Raptors to maneuver around in the seeding for the tournament. With that in mind, there is one path for the Raptors that looks significantly better than the rest. Let’s discuss what that could look like for this team!

  1. I would love to see them take on Boston. Honestly, this is the weakest I’ve seen Boston in a hot minute. Tatum has had a bit of a drop off the last half of the season (emphasis on bit, he was MVP-calibre earlier so it’s not a bad drop off), Brown isn’t playing his best, they’ve had quite a few injuries, and I feel like Toronto has a chip on their shoulder when they play Boston. The only thing I don’t like about going for the 7th seed is that if they, by whatever way, beat Boston in the first round, they will likely have to go against Philly in the second round. Then if they take out Philly, they would likely square up against Milwaukee in the ECF. Although Toronto has a good record going Philly-Bucks in the second and third round of the playoffs (see 2019). It would just suck to have to play against all three in a row, should that ever be the case. However, if that should EVER happen to be the case (near impossible, I would likely say), I feel insanely good with Toronto’s chances going forward if they somehow managed to pull all of that off, haha! But let’s be realistic, it probably won’t.

  2. 1 Raps like most teams are bad on the road so 7 would be perfect. 2 at home even if you lose first one and no travel.
We need to go 500 to get to 41 wins unless Heat or Brooklyn total choke catching ATL might be our only chance since we were too selfish in early season.
