If so I’ll happily take Stroud. Especially a Stroud that is motivated by being passed over and selected #2. They both can ball!
What I think they are doing is the Panthers have decided to try and get the Texans to move up and give up a pick to get Young.. but they want Stroud.. and figure if they can trade with the Texans, that they can get one of their picks and still get the QB they wanted.. I say, by all means Texans MOVE UP, give up pick #33 along with pick #2, and get pick #1 and take STROUD.. make sure you get HIM.. and with Pick #12 move up a couple of spots and take Njigba.. his team mate and the best WR on the draft board this year.. next year come back and get Marvin Harrison Jr.. and you will have done essentially what Cincy did getting Burrow and Jamar Chase.. and think where Cincy would be if they had also gotten the other team mate of Joe Burrow, Justin Jefferson.. that is what it would be if we got both Njigba this year for Stroud and Harrison next year.. do it.. you will have them players for the next 15 years.. your franchise QB and two Franchise WR's.. both with chemistry already with Stroud.. Everyone says, well Stroud does so well because he sits behind the best OL in college football.. are we saying we need to dump OT Tunsil and Howard and go get Paris Johnson and Dwand Jones, and Luke Wypler.. then trade away Tunsil and Howard and go get his OL if you think they are better then our line is today with Tunsil and Howard.. and you can still go get Wypler in this draft as well.. really, I hate hearing all the Excuses of why NOT to draft the best QB in this draft.. he has the best receivers and he will not have them here.. why? Because you refuse to go get them? You are talking about taking Young and going and getting Njigba anyway for Young.. who by the way has NO chemistry at all with him.. If you were going to go get Young then you should go get Jerry Judy as well.. at least give Young his old buddies who he is already familiar with.. If I am the Texans I make the call and ask what it takes to move up to #1 and I keep hush hush what my plan is and I take Stroud #1.. and Njigba, maybe 9 or 10.. to ensure I get him.. after that.. take what is needful.. you might consider also taking Wypler in the middle of round 2 as well.. make a move and move up..
I’m from Panther Nation and ran across this channel and I think you guys can relax 80% of Panther fans and most of top local Panther reporters are all saying Stroud is the pick I think the Panthers are sending out smoke screens hoping the Texans will come up and take Bryce. Me personally being a Panthers fan I want Bryce but the Panthers will select Stroud They are both good QBs but I think Bryce will be a Texans and CJ will be a Panther. As a Panthers fan are you guys concerned with Bryce Young’s size? That’s why most of the Panthers fans want CJ Stroud from the size factor being that they’re both similar in skill set. Just curious about Texans fans and what is intriguing about Bryce over CJ and why size is not that important and by size I mean frame not height
You know how many times frank Reich has drafted a tall QB as the teams head coach? None that's how many. The offensive cords don't pick the qbs. He's never selected a QB high and so the whole tall QB only thing is a misnomer
I’ve said it when Demeco got hired and I’m sticking to it til the end. Demeco will draft Will Anderson or Jalen Carter and maybe even now Tyree Wilson at 2.
I think it is intentional for the Texans first round pick at 12.

Chris Mortensen doesn't know squat. Even if it's true that "they all like Bryce," that doesn't mean they all don't also like Stroud. He's just talking.

Does what Mortensen thinks about anything even matter? Much to do about nothing. The Texans have had the 2nd pick for quite a while. Nothings changed. Still have the 2nd pick. They stated to us all that they were always gonna pick whichever of the 2 QBS Carolina, or at the time Chicago, didn't. Now I see why BK (Bueller Kellner) takes so many days off with yawn fest over hyped topics like this.
