Insane season for KD who is at 67.7 TS%. Took a good opportunity to throw some shade at the new rules in the CBA.

I agree that the new rule is dumb but when you miss atleast a month of games due to injury every season since 2019 maybe the rule isn’t the problem
Legacy points added or deducted?
It’s easy, don’t get injured lol.
Numbers are really impressive. 47/82 games ehhhh not so much, but still enough sample size to realize its bonkers. Still, not enough games imo.
Incredible. Shame he’s been injured.
Found a way to get butthurt yet again.
65 games isn’t the cutoff for percentages, though
but at the same time it’s obviously not as impressive as sustaining it for longer
He’s damn near missed 20 games even from 65
I feel like we’re reinventing the wheel with this game requirements stuff. Everyone at some point collectively decided that the way to measure stats was to divide it over by the number of games played, and now people are mad that some players play less games. Why not just use totals?
Damn right. /s
So if KD played 1 game and scored 50 points on 100% shooting is he still gonna whine about the games played discussion? I mean what’s the cutoff here for him to say, yeah, prob didn’t play enough? Half the season? Less?
Look I’m a Celtics fan, Tatum’s my guy, and that dude is leading the league in total points because he plays all the time. But for some reason that is practically dismissed when you’re comparing him with other top players in the league. I’ll take the guy who plays over the guy who doesn’t.
This is a league where the top players rest throughout the season, including in marquee matchups, such that it’s actually a problem and point of criticism
… the obvious answer is to make # of games played matter somehow and end the debate by setting a minimum.
Or! Why don’t we take Tatum’s best 47 games and only use those for his averages this season?
Damn right it doesn’t count
The NBA is right. He hasn’t played enough to be an MVP this season. What’s he running for? Most valuable guy in street clothes, watching his teammates battle for the win? What’s valuable about that?
None of us getting a raise if we only show up to 4 out of 5 workdays, quit your bitching.
Am I the only one reading this as tongue in cheek? I dont
think he cares…
do y’all not understand sarcasm?
Guys act like missing 20 to 25 percent of the season shouldn’t matter. That is a very significant thing.
Kevin you have played in 47 games. 47.
These dudes will take absolutely every opportunity to victimize themselves, holy.
What an excellent troll.
This guy acts like he was about win mvp before this rule.
So play the games you stupid bitch
Interesting news about this up and coming guy Kay Dee? I’m assuming that’s how you spell his full name as we’ve all collectively never heard of him.
He is right, it doesnt count
TS% 10 points higher than Games Played %.
Unironically
He played like 50 games it shouldn’t count
Kawhi is like 55-47-88 in his last 50
Redditors try not to take a joke comment seriously (IMPOSSIBLE)
I don’t care. I want to cheer for a player that wins games for my team, and if he is missing 20 games he is costing my team 10-20 wins. That’s crazy bad. Downvote me.
This sub has been getting better for me since I started blocking every account with a stupid take.

I find it funny that so many people have problems with this because the NBPA were the ones who agreed to the 65 game stretch yet not a single player seems to be openly supporting it 😭
Yes.
He’s kinda right
The best ability is availability. I love the new 65 game requirement and think a lot of season awards should definitely factor games/minutes played into decisions
Finally something I agree with him on.
Is he trying to say it’s not significant that he’s missed so many games?
He’s trying to be snarky, but he’s not wrong. It’s a lot less meaningful given how few games he’s played
it’s a good rule. too bad for KD
Look at the comments, wtf. He makes jokes and people here take it seriously.
