Was ready to have my whole month ruined after reading that first sentence…

How do you rehab for only 1 week and then get thrown into playoff intense basketball?

Yep, MRI came back clean, here’s the full excerpt from the Athletic and Shams:
“Bucks star Khris Middleton underwent an MRI on his ailing right knee on Thursday and results came back clean, according to sources.Middleton is expected to use the next week or so to rehab the knee in hopes of being ready for the playoffs beginning April 15.The Bucks clinched the top seed and the NBA’s best regular-season record this week, led largely by another MVP-caliber campaign from Giannis Antetokounmpo. But Middleton contributed 15.1 points, 4.9 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game. He has been a significant part of the Bucks’ success over the last few seasons.

Middleton has battled knee issues that kept him out earlier this season for an extended amount of time. The Bucks got good news this time around, but this definitely got me thinking about his honest and candid conversation earlier in the year with our own Eric Nehm about how hard it was for him to rehab.”

Bud is going to have a good day due to the crypticness of this tweet

This is worded very badly, sounds more tragic than it should

  7. Honestly, I can’t be any happier with a clean mri result. Give him some rest untill the 2nd round, which will be in May 2nd ish.
Playoffs are tough, so not saying we will sweep the 1st round, but we SHOULD end series against the 8th seed in 5-6 games. And slowly bring Khris in the 2nd round and extend his minutes from there.

    Regardless, what a relief!

slightly panicking that him, Grayson, and Pat all went down at the worst time. gonna need huge contributions from Crowder, Jingles, Wes and Jevon if those guys miss any of the playoffs. if KMidd misses any playoffs we’ll need huge minutes from all of those guys and Grayson/Pat.

KMidd will likely only be able to play ~30 MPG instead of 40 which is worrisome. but at least the mri is clean

Hopefully he can perform this season in the playoffs, he’s one of the X factors tbh since we’ve seen Giannis drop almost 50 in playoff losses.

I wonder what he looks like next season since it’ll be a contract year. But I don’t believe the bucks should give him another large contract after next season. Hopefully he either takes a reasonable extension, or he may move onto a new team, see what happens I suppose.

Most definitely could have been a lot worse news so I’ll take it, but it is quite concerning that we went above and beyond to ease Khris back from his injury and he still tweaked it within a couple minutes of playing hard after a couple days rest from his last game played…es no bueno
