Dame has a life in Portland beyond just basketball. He loves the city and the team, and they love him. His family calls it home. He doesn't want to leave because he values that more than a potential ring. That kind of mentality of being passionate about your work while still prioritizing your family should be applauded and not criticized.
Celtics would be a nice fit for Dame. But Bpston should trade Jaylen Brown to NY so forget that.

Option 4 : send the knics pick to chicago to undo the protection and make a package with all those pick you have (portland have all their pick) to keep a good core and land a another all star. You get to keep Anfernee or Sharpe. If you can get another center, one who can rim protect effectively, in place of Nurkic, you're good to go.
