Since when did we start becoming an org that snitches to the media?

If the nuggets have a bad playoffs again which is likely, there’s a good chance they take a loot at nurse as well to replace Mike Malone.

Nurse would do wonders in denver.

As much as I’ve liked what he’s brought to the franchise over the years I do think it’s time both parties move on from one another. He’ll always be the coach that helped lead us to the championship and no matter how badly things have gone these past couple of seasons that fact can never be taken away from him.

  5. Jayson2K

The coach’s message eventually gets tuned out and they’ll always be the first to go.

My bet is FO (for whatever it’s worth) believes in the core more than they do the coaching

The Nurse hate from some in this fanbase is kinda crazy! The roster as presently constructed is not as good as most people think. We have a bunch of redundant pieces & zero depth. We’ve all seen what Nurse can do with a proper first option, & a bench. If he goes to Houston with their young talent, & possibly Wemby or Scoot, we’ll once again see that Nurse is an elite basketball coach 🤷🏾‍♂️

I think Nick is going to leave. I think he is just tired of it all. I think Udoka will do a great job in Toronto. He didn’t do anything illegal. Just immoral and I’m more than willing to give him a fair judgment.

  8. OGnotAnunoby

Idec if Nick leaves at this point I just hope whoever is the next coach holds these guys accountable

  9. jjkiller26

Even the mavs let carlisle go after a while. No matter what you think of nurse as a coach eventually the voice gets stale in the locker room and the coaching methods grow old.

There’s clear disconnect between the FO’s vision of the team and how nurse is coaching them. Combine that with the whispers that nurse’s coaching methods can rub some players the wrong way and I think it’s best for all sides to move on in the summer

  10. h3yn0w75

Not surprising. Firing Nurse as the scapegoat is the easy move for a FO that has created a very flawed roster.

  11. Throwawayaway23848

I just hope if he leaves, it’s with the proper grace and respect he deserves.

He’s an excellent coach and the best one we’ve ever had.

  12. Raptors887

I believe that its time for Nurse to go. But he should not be used as a scapegoat. This roster is utter crap and Masai needs to wake the hell up this off-season.

Bye…take Jacker Supreme Fredbrick with you

  14. Thealk3mist

Anyone else kinda want Earl Watson? Younger guy, connects to the players so well. Motivator. Has pushed Devin Booker to elite status.

Man has coached a championship squad and team Canada with pride. This is on ownership not Nurse for lacking a true superstar

Nurse got dealt a bum hand by this front office since they went all in for Giannis and neutered team composition. They’ve given him chicken shit and told him to make chicken salad. A team with no centre (until Jak), no competent back-up guard and 1.5 million power forwards that the FO claims can ‘learn how to shoot.’ Up until last season Nurse was fancied as a top five coach in the league. Why fight an uphill battle with a horribly mismatched roster starring Fred V when other teams will come calling with a golden ticket?

  17. Pleasant-Fault6825

This team played the first half of the year, like they didn’t have a coach. They were unprepared, individually, and as a team.

Maybe Nick is great, but this year, he sucked.

This team could use a fresh vision.

  18. jamiecballer

Not a good fit for a young team. And while it’s true we have some older guys, the majority of the players on this roster are early on in their careers. I don’t want to trigger everyone but at this stage might need a Casey more than a Nurse.

  19. TO_Trash_Panda

If FO doesn’t see that Nurse isnt the issue then we’re doomed

  20. Muse4lp

i’m seeing wayyy too many comments of people going on about how this is the fo’s fault because of how our roster is constructed.

people are flat out ignoring that nick has lost the locker room. as well as ignoring the fact that our guys are consistently averaging the most minutes played. pascal is 1, fred is 4, og is 15 and scottie is 23 this year. there’s no *bench development* whatsoever under nick. add to that very complicated defensive coverages and pretty basic offensive schemes, it’s clear we have a coaching problem.

nick is a great coach but at this stage in his career, he’s stubborn and not willing to acquiesce with the teams current structure. he wants to compete for championships but it’s come at the cost of the bigger picture.

masai and bobby definitely have their issues but at this point, it’s actually easier to move on from the coach then try to fix the roster issues. also, with so many guys needing to be paid (jakob, fred, og, precious, scottie) coming up- its probably best you fix the coaching problem because these guys are over it.

It seems the FO has been doing their best to avoid making any hard decisions and losing Nurse will give them yet another runway to run back the same roster without losing face. I don’t know if the fanbase is going to buy into it.

  22. klobucharzard

someone on the rockets gonna win MIP when their mins go from 26 to 41 per game

  23. umsidh1986

Fans tend to forget that change in life in inevitable.

They get too overly emotionally attached to these teams and forget there are human beings behind these public figures.

There will be ups and downs with the teams play and performance year after year. These real human beings behind their public persona will want change in their lives like Nick Nurse. He’s like of all us, who sometimes wants to take another job or work somewhere else to renew his passion possibly.

If he leaves, good for him. If he stays, good for him. I still pinch myself that I get to watch an NBA TEAM IN CANADA since 1995. I’m still in awe that I can get on a flight and go watch a Raptors game from somewhere else in Canada and be part of a national fanbase cheering for the same team coast to coast. It’s quite special and sometimes I can’t believe that I still am
    Part of it.

    Go Raptors!

  24. We need a more talented roster with a real superstar not a new coach. Masai and Bobby have been underperforming so they want to b.s. with this shit.

  25. xc2215x

Not a surprise. Nick Nurse knows that he would likely be fired.

  26. green_and_green23

What we need is the FO to get their head out of their ass

  27. Novel_Goal3140

We won in 2019 because of Kawhi. Not Nurse.

  28. Bizzare10

This is the weirdest rebuild i ever witnessed

  29. scarchadula

    2019- wins championship
2020 – good season, pascal vanishes in the bubble
    2021 – lottery pick
    2022 – first round exit
2023 – underachieving team, barely making the play in.

I like nurse, but his resume doesn’t blow me away. I’m down for a change

  30. funguscreek

I feel like NN is responsible for a lot of the issues the team has this year. Our defensive/offensive schemes suck, players aren’t playing for each other, and there are absolutely 0 minutes for young developing guys even though we can’t win with the starters. It’s probably time for a shake-up.
