What’s up, YouTube family. We have some big news to announce. We are excited to announce that The Dunker Spot Podcast with Nekias Duncan and Steve Jones is now a part of the ThreeFourTwo Productions family. If you’re a true hoops fan, you’re going to LOVE this podcast. And to give everyone a glimpse into what The Dunker Spot is all about, we are thrilled to welcome Nekias and Steve on The Old Man and The Three. For those who don’t know, Nekias is a writer for BasketballNews.com and Steve is a former assistant coach. Together they love to dive into the X’s and O’s of basketball… diving into what’s ACTUALLY happening on the court. It’s a true NBA sicko’s dream pod. In this episode topics include: Can The Denver Nuggets and Sacramento Kings come up with impactful defensive schemes come playoff time, what holes (if any) does a healthy Phoenix Suns team (with Kevin Durant ) have, talking Boston Celtics defensive versatility and their struggles with shot profiles in crunch time, specifically with Jayson Tatum isolation plays, Nekias goes on a Charlotte Hornets rant of positivity and so much more.

You guys have been so kind to us and we hope you can extend the same graciousness to Nekias and Steve. Enjoy!

  1. I’m so so glad two of my favorite podcasts ever are collaborating man. Insane level of ball knowledge from everyone here. You’re gonna learn a lot about the game listening to The Dunker Spot

  2. One of the biggest problems with the suns that people aren't talking about is how poor the playmaking/passing is outside of main 3. The whole center position struggles to make good reads out of the post, and their role players get tunnel vision semi often.

  3. Great addition to the team and looks like a good fit. Didn't know these two, and it's not as electric as “normal episodes” when you have ex or active NBA players, but still very interesting to watch and listen to. Love the enthusiasm of the guy on the right, lightens up your mood if u see a guy smiling and being that happy about talking ball.

  4. The hoops community we've built here on YouTube has been so awesome. We hope you all like what Nekias and Steve will bring to the channel. Thanks for checking out our pod with them!

  5. Shoutout Nick Richards!! Lmao love that we got the Charlotte rant on the first crossover episode; they're my sleeper team. Dunker Spot is top 10 pod in basketball and they're not number 10!

  6. Incredible. I am glad they got snatched up and JJ is going to put them on main feed. I have always though bball iq pod like this needs to be in daily rotation of mainstream channels rather than on some specialized place where they are lost. Hopefully film study next Jason.

  7. I think tommy spoke like once or twice in the whole 40 min. Can’t imagine it’s a fun experience for him at this point.

  8. Love this addition. Nekias and Steve's show is one of my favorite podcasts. Love their thorough and in depth discussions. Always feel like I learn something.

  9. Nobody better than Nekias and Steve at breaking down the NBA at an expert level. And love they wade into the WNBA waters too during the summer

  10. If you don’t bring up the warriors during your podcast it’s a waste… not only do they have a pretty large fan base maybe second only to lakers , they are the current champions…. Great info but a waste of time… thank God for transcripts 🤬

  11. Hell yes! Hopefully this leads to a pod setup upgrade for Nekias and Steve. Never been a fan of the green screen style background.

  12. To be honest, I don't feel like Basketball conversation that isn't at this level of acumen and detail should be given much respect.

When you get into generalizations, mythmaking, it makes it harder to see life.

If you're looking at the game from this level you have more to love about the game, how a players footwork improves throughout their career, how teams have adjusted throughout a season, who was or wasn't able to learn.

  13. Love the direction NBA analysis is going. Love seeing Nekias and Steve recognized! Thank you JJ Reddick

  14. Isn’t it crazy JJ Redick is helping NBA fans be better NBA fans this is so awesome. I love this type of conversation. I can’t believe I didn’t know about this other POD. Dope.
