    Once Kyrie and Luka become friends who make each other better it's the Mavs will be amazing

    Reason is simple. Mavs has 0 chance for a deep run even if they somehow get in the playoffs. But in that scenario Kyrie will get a lot more leverage going into the off season negotiations. From a team building perspective mavs has a lot to lose if they keep fighting and win.

    Let's see if the Mavs double down on the Kyrie mistake by signing him to a long term deal at top dollar. If they were smart they'd use the money to get some quality role players to surround Luka with. This draft is supposed to be stacked so they should be able to land a quality rookie ASAP.

    The Mavs are on ESPN as much as the Cowboys are recently. Mavs have never received this much national coverage since losing to Golden State in 2007. I remember most of the coverage in the 2011 playoffs going to the teams the Mavs destroyed on their way to the championship!!!

    This is disgrace for sport and nba. This is nothing!!! If nba was sport, bucks would eat grizzlies and grizzlies should play the last game for second spot and home advantage. Dallas should be punished for obvious tanking. Idiotism erste klasse.

    Not sure what people are upset about. The Mavs just gave themselves a 3% chance at Wembanyama and a 14% chance at a top four pick. They'd be lucky to make it through the play in tournament and they have zero chance of making it past the second round. I like the move.
