This idiot has to be the first one on that list of people who aren’t coming back next season otherwise the next season is over before it even begins.
Guys the reality was, after reaching the WCF in year 1, He was always going to get a pass for year 2 and only fired if he were to say something that would force the mavericks to fire him.
I would say his security from that WCF appearance though will be gone next year.

Honestly, with the Kyrie trade, they should be rebuilding the roster around them.
Wood, Powell, Frank, Morris, Pinson and Holiday are all free agents and I’d imagine the only two who might be asked back are Powell and Pinson. Maxi will likely stick around too.
I have no idea what is happening with THJ, Bertans, McGee or Bullock though. Since we’re capped out, not sure there’s any benefit to waiving them and I imagine the only one with any trade value is THJ but certainly we still need the shooting.
But Nico really has his work cut out for him given how many slots we have to fill and the assets and salaries we have to work with.
Everyone other than Luka-Kyrie- hardy should be on the block. Won’t miss any other player, that includes Green.

Remember when the Knicks signed Brunson immediately when free agency opened? He never talked to the mavs, just went straight to the Knicks where his dad is an assistant coach? We lost a now 25/6/4 guy for nothing over collusion and tampering even after they were found guilty of it and punished, the mavs got nothing. I’m sorry if the team wants one of their first round picks they have traded to the Knicks over the years back because we lost a guy who is a borderline superstar (displayed it most of his final season with us and was clear from year 1 how good he was going to be).
People are looking at this wrong. This is a fuck you to the Knicks for tampering and stealing Brunson away using family members and being punished almost nothing for doing it. How good are the Knicks because of that move? Oh it’s so worth it for them and everyone is mad because we want our own first rounder back that we traded them previously. Cry me a river. We still might not get the pick and everyone needs to chill out.
