Just looking through some [mock drafts](https://youtu.be/bF1rpr85I4g) to see who we should get with our Cavs/Celtics/Rockets picks. Should we swing for the fences on a multi year project or get a reliable role player?
For highest upside I’d go with Leonard Miller as a 6’10” athlete, who has tools to be a great defender and transition scorer. He struggles shooting and is really raw. Is a project player like this a Rick Carlisle type of pick?
For a reliable defense I’d go with 6’7” Sidy Cissoko or the PF/C Noah Clowney – both notable for their defense and are close enough on the “3” that they could realistically develop into 3&D floor spacers.
Who would you want to pick at 25 and 29?

BPA gets my vote as long as they can play defense at the highest level.
Actually, “whoever Rick wants” is who I want. Unless Rick doesn’t want Jarace, then we’ll have words.
I think Leonard Miller would be gone by 25, but I like the idea of Sidy + Noah for sure. Trayce Jackson-Davis has really grown on me & I don’t live in Indiana, nor am I a big IU guy.
All I know is I’d like a big wing & a forward out that end of that draft to go with whoever we draft in the lottery.
Guys like Maxwell Lewis, Dariq Whitehead, Leonard Miller, Sidy Cissoko, Noah Clowney, or Bilal Coulibaly would be who I’d be looking at. Young guys with good tools, but needing refinement. Julian Strawther doesn’t necessarily fit that, but his shooting and size project well to me as well on the wing.
There’s going to be some good talent that falls down into that range. I like our chances to add 1-2 intriguing pieces there (fingers crossed that the Houston pick conveys to give us some more flexibility).
