We don’t even need to cherry pick samples for this guy, his whole season was great. 61.5% true shooting, great D, strides as a driver and passer. He did everything I’d want to see in a 2nd year player. If they had an all-sophomore award, he’d be first team for sure.

The thing that gets me about Grimes is how quick he reacts and makes a correct decision. As soon as he gets the ball, he either immediately catches and shoots or immediately catches and drives after the defender closes out. And if the defender does get a good contest? Doesnāt matter because Grimes is launching it anyways with his high release
