Good for you Austin. Pay that man

  2. Bigbully_69

Bro wants to be a laker for life. Don’t screw this shit up

  3. AlexGarseea

Hell I’ll chip in some cash if Our FO doesnt pay wat he wants

  4. AdvancedElephant

Thats our guy man. We keep players that are good and want to be here. DLO we should keep too

  5. LordBri14

Do not fuck this up jeanie… pay the man.

  6. Dear Jeanie and Rob, please don’t pull a Caruso on this!

  7. Imkitoto

Jeannie better start selling those PlayStations

  8. craigp5986

He deserves to get paid. I would do whatever it takes to keep him. He’s like the glue guy that’s super skilled. He could be a fringe all star

  9. Chromewave9

Reaves is going to get a lot more than $12 million per season. Lakers better write the check because they can’t affors to lose him.

  10. There would be an actual riot if they let this man walk

Yall acting like the Lakers won’t keep him is crazy to me. Austin is a) super important to the team’s success in ways most role players aren’t, b) has the love from the leaders, and c) is an RFA.

It’s lazy to keep comparing him to Caruso, but if you do: Austin is twice as valuable as Alex was and there’s no decisions to make. Alex was a great defender here, but offensively he was capped out as basically a dunker slot guy or marginally effective three point shooter. He cant run an offense, he cant run pick and rolls, he has no gravity on the three point line. And the Lakers HAVE to keep Austin because there’s no potential replacement. There’s no THT “maybe this kid has the goods so we have to pick one” thing going on here. The odds our draft picks can replace Austin are low. It’s Austin or it’s nobody and we’ve seen our offense stall out if he’s not there.

Only question at this point is how much? We can only offer so much and I’m not sure another team actually waits on him in RFA so he may just get his 4/50 and be set. If I were him, I’d take 3/35 with an option on the last year so I can opt out and get a pay bump with full Bird Rights. At 26 years old the timing probably works better than at 28 so he can try to maximize his earnings.

Waiting for that contract to be signed so I can buy that AR15 jersey!
Which color way should I go with?
    I’m thinking Sunday white.

  13. Young, talented, motivated, and a desire to be a Laker. You don’t let this go. Ever.

Love his humility and desire and willingness to learn from his teammates. He’s not cocky in the slightest, I love that. I also love his story about driving down the lane with LeBron on his left and Westbrook on his right, coming up against Rondo and he does a little chuckle, then says in the interview it was “whatever” and he got around him, I was dying 😂🤣😂

    Thank you, Coach Rondo!

  16. w3bCraw1er

Get him signed. IMO Dlo is expendable for AR.

I’m still confused as to how Austin’s FA will work. If the Lakers offer him an early bird contract and he refuses, is he still a restricted FA? Would the issue then be a possible poison pill?

  18. NoPin5154

Austin fucking knows what he’s doing. He’s beating that ‘don’t lose me like u lost ac drum’. Love it austin

  19. Resident_Frame

Stop bringing up Rob. This is on Jeanie

They’re gonna let him get the best offer they can and match it. They better anyway.

Unpopular opinion, I would give Austin up to 20 m a year. Right now he is the perfect role player on any team, an all around player that can hit from deep and plays defense as hard as he can. This is only his second season and he’s the most efficient guard in the league and will continue to grow as he puts on muscle. His next step is to learn how to be a full time playmaker and continuing to grow into his body. The more muscle he puts on the easier it will be to score as the main feature on offense and defend stronger players, increasing his versatility.

Last season I said he can grown into an fringe Allstar but now I honestly believe we could see him average an efficient 25/5/8 in the next few years.

  23. Sugarskull_IX

If they fuck this up like they did with Caruso, holy shit.

  24. if i start a gofundme, who’s willing to kick in some cash?

  25. blacPanther55

I like Reaves but we need him to play the level of defense that he was playing prior to the heavier offensive load. We can’t have both him and Dlo being bad on that end.

  26. swampcreature511

I will never let it go if they don’t sign AR15 to a new contract with the Lakers.
