My Official Vote For The 2023 NBA MVP | JJ Redick

It’s official. JJ Redick has turned in his 2022-23 NBA Awards ballot. That’s right, an MVP has been selected. All three guys are 100% deserving of the award but JJ could only pick one. It was tough to pick an MVP between Nikola Jokic (The Denver Nuggets), Joel Embiid (The Philadelphia 76ers) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (The Milwaukee Bucks) but JJ explains why he selected who he did and much more.

  1. SMH come on bro it's Joel embiid or yiannis because they play both sides of the ball jokic shouldn't even be a discussion .

  2. Jokic missed games because he put his team in a position where they could rest late in the year.

  3. I don't understand why Giannis is a clear MVP he missed a lot of games and Milwaukee has a great roster with the most continuity with their core outside of gsw.

  4. Giannis I don’t have at mvp because he is the best player yes but he is not a team that’s probably still a top 3 team without him jokic is my mvp imo because jokic makes the nuggets look like a very good team but without jokic they looked like a lottery team

  5. For what it's worth (not much) I fully agree with your Giannis pick for mvp.

  6. Narrative within a single season makes some sense, but narrative from 3 season ago playing into this MVP? Sure Joel deserves AN MVP, but does he deserve this one?

  7. Giannis has an JRUE holiday an allstar this season, Middleton, a former allstar, and Brookz Lopez the DPOY favorite. Joel has 1 former all star teammates and Jokic also has 0 all-star teammates. Embiid has better stats, Jokic has better efficiency. No matter how you dice it it's joel or jokic…

  8. As a Nuggets fan, who would like Jokic to win just to promote his pass 1st style of play over isolation 1v. You are completely right Jokic and the Nuggets mailed in the end of the season. I hope Giannis wins.

  9. Per 36 mins Giannis also took more shot attempts than Embiid and only lead by .04

Embiid leads Giannis in total and per game in points blocks and steals

If you go by per 100 possession Embiid leads in points over Giannis as well

Giannis has the most complete team and also plays in the easier division

The Atlantic is tougher than the central

Giannis plays with TWO DPOTY candidates and a 6th man of the year candidate

Just throwing context out there for this season

  10. most valuable player jj not most valuable team put joker in any team his doing what he has done in denver

  11. This only makes me respect this guy less. The more he talks the more realise just how much he lacks of integrity.

Funny how "best player on the best team" didn't stop him from advocating extremely hard for Jokic, last season. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

  12. Giannis should win easily, I just don’t get how he won’t win. Best player on the best team ALL season

  13. unfortunately it seems narrative has an impact, i love how you simply breakdown this mvp race and i completly agree with the points you made

  14. Key word “valuable”
If your team has a better record without you, you’re not the MVP.

This is why Joel can’t be the MVP.

  15. I have the exact same take. Giannis is the best player on the best team and with the best win percentage. Jokic was #1 2 months ago but hasn’t performed on an MVP level since then
