In Episode 1377, Sean Woodley goes solo to break down the Toronto Raptors’ 1-1 weekend against the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks to put a bow on a season that deserved to finish with an exactly .500 record. Off the top, Sean takes a look back at the Raptors; wild oscillations in play over the course of 82 games, and why it is narratively perfect that the team settled in with a 41-41 record when it was all said and done. This team was never as good as it looked at its best, and never as bad as it felt when it was at its worst, and the ups and downs of the individual players on the team were just as indicative of Toronto’s mid status as the team’s play overall. Next, Sean runs through the Good (Precious Achiuwa’s strong finish), the Bad (completely laying down against Boston) and the Hmm (how the A.J. Griffin buzzer beater back in November came back to burn the Raptors) from the final weekend of the regular season. Lastly, Sean digs into some of his early impressions of the matchup with the Chicago Bulls in the East’s 9 vs. 10 play-in game and some interesting tactical questions that could dictate the outcome of the game.
