[Shams] Sources: The Rockets are scheduling head coaching interviews with Golden State’s Kenny Atkinson, Toronto’s Adrian Griffin, Ime Udoka, Frank Vogel and James Borrego. Raptors’ Nick Nurse is expected to be a top target should he become available.

I’m hoping the season ends tomorrow and nurse and raptors mutually part ways the day after

Gotta start the coaching search soon

“Hey Adrian, thank you for meeting with us. What’s Nick’s favourite colour, and do you know his preference on office chairs?”

    Rockets-Adrian Griffin, Mavs-Nick Nurse, Raptors-Ime Udokac, Pistons-Kenny Atkinson, Hornets-Frank Vogel

if Nurse would rather coach Rockets (tied for 2nd worst in nba) instead Raptors, what does that say about our core 🤔🤔🤔

Idk why a rebuilding team would want Nurse so bad?

Griffin has got to be one of the most interviewed guys over the past few years. I wonder why he hasn’t gotten a gig yet.

Frank Vogel would be a nice replacement for us

I get that Nurse has contributed to a very underwhelming year. He deserves criticisim. But its way more on the front office than on Nick, no bench, not enough shooting and no center until it was too late. Sometimes a change of scenerey does everyone some good.

If he does get moved. I hope they give Adrian Griffin a shot. Teams need a mix of new ideas and continuity. I wouldnt move Nick to take on Ime, Vogel, Kenny Atkinson or James fucking Borrego.

I feel like Nick Nurse would lose his mind coaching someone like Jalen Green

It can’t look good to future potential employers that Nick publicly speculated about his future with the team and basically threw in the towel for the season during the most important stretch

Everybody’s saying Nick lost the locker room, so if he’s lost them, then he’s got to go. His media antics are probably why and if y’all don’t remember, him and Pascal really got into it last year.

Nurse will likely be available, he just steered the teams direction about him and his future with the team in a very unprofessional way right before play-ins.. seaons not even over. Raptors already lacks focus and he just threw lighter fluid on the fire. I wouldn’t have been surprised if Masai fired him for it and called the season a wash with Adrian Griffin taking the team into the play-ins.

Pretty sure he’s ready to leave and most of us fans are ready for a new look on the floor anyway. He went from a basketball savant to a guy who continues to trust the ball with the least clutch players on our team during end of game moments. He’s set in his ways and it’s time for a culture reset with Scottie leading the offense.

For the Raptors I wouldn’t be surprised to see some of our staff moving up in the pecking order as it’s been before. Udoka hiring or Adrian Griffin getting a promotion wouldn’t surprise me, if that doesn’t happen maybe the Raps continue to roll with Nurse. I think it’s unlikely though, with the most likely outcome being the Rockets get a new coach who would benefit them greatly and we see them start to crawl up the ranks again.![img](emote|t5_2s5sb|5166)

I have visions of Adam Silver coming up to the podium on draft day and announcing the Rockets trading the first overall pick to the Toronto Raptors for Nick Nurse and ________. Never happen but still can dream 🤣🤣🤣
