👀 I’m Scared! 😱
Russ' style of play is penetrate paint, attack the rim/iso, draw contact and get fouls. That has been the bane of Phoenix this year, and i think any team that plays us will try to attack us there. Our guys get frustrated easily when the fouls start pouring in (whether to cover a spread for vegas or a ref just holding a grudge, etc), and rightfully so. If you look at the numbers, we aren't just a mid range/jump shooting team. That game where the lakers had 50FTA to our 25FTA, we drove the ball just as much. They just had to win that one because then the Lakers could get the play-in spot, and the refs made that one pretty obvious lol.
Anyways, I personally think Westbrick is a good fit with the clippers. Even without PG, they are a capable team, and this is the playoffs. Any guy whos got that dawg in em' is gonna let it out for the playoffs, so the Suns just need to be on point, and maintain composure and they'll be okay i believe. Idk who the hell could beat us in a 7 game series, but if it ends up being the clippers, it'll be pure luck or help from the refs. Hopefully KD and crew will be so on fire and so aggressive that playing 5+(3) vs. our 5 wont even matter. Our scoring should be so good that even the refs trying to sell the game to extend a series wouldnt matter unless they were just so blatantly stupid that everyone noticed. Lol, idk…
