What was your biggest takeaway from Pritchard's press conference?
You left out some key points about what He said about Buddy not surprisingly since You believe He had A great year. Your obviously entititled to your opinion
I loved how both Carlisle and Pritchard made a point to say Buddy has had a great year SHOOTING THE BALL.
KP made it a point to say he might be open to an extension if Buddy and the Pacers could come to an agreement on a defined role. OFF THE BENCH. He also made it a point to mention Buddy's defense this year or lack of and how A priority was going to be the addition of some perimiter on ball defenders.
He praised both Nembhardt's and Nesmiths grit and on ball/ perimiter defense but said that was an area the Pacers would definitely address.
Doesnt take A rocket scientist to realize He was referring to Buddy. Big reason he was moved to the Bench.
I also like how im on the same page as KP about all the hugging and hand shaking the opposing teams players this generation does after every Game, Buddy Hields absolute favorite thing to do. Something that for sure wasnt done in the 80s and 90s.
Doesnt matter if Hield turned the ball over 3 times in crunxh time and missed all his wide open shots. Buddy cant wait to hug and give handshakes to every opposing player.
Most definitely wasnt the era i grew up watching or liking. Every team literally hated each other.
Every fan of every opposing team hated Reggie Miller. He got his flowers after He retired and toward the very end but every fan and opposing player absolutely hated Reggie Miller when He played for the Pacers.

He made it an obvious point to anyone that knows the game of basketball that you cant advance or even make the playoffs when you have A player that is that terrible at it. Those are more my words but in a nutshell thats what he said.
Unfortunately for Buddy and his fans it takes ALOT more to win games at the highest level in the NBA then making wide open 3s that your point guard created for you.
Steph curry can get his own shot. He doesnt need someone to set him up for a wide open look. Fans think made 3s means your a great/winning player in the NBA. No that means your A kyle korver role player with a very specific role.
Problem with that is that Korver shot close to 50 percent from 3s in several NBA seasons.
