Rather intriguing interview just a few minutes ago during the Bulls/Raptors play-in game tonight with Stephen A. Smith on ESPN. Thought I’d share.
Summarized transcript of what Dame said:
* *This is the best season I’ve had so far. I think I can be on this level for another three or four years. No doubt. This is because of the way I train, and my shooting and efficiency is not based solely on athleticism. I’m a student of the game and know how to take care of myself.*
* *In my entire career, I’ve always believed that my organization has really tried. We’ve also had back-to-back years missing the playoffs. But at this point in my career, it’s different. I’ve felt the best I have in years and was able to dominate and have my best season, but the urgency is on.*
* *Are we gonna go young or are we gonna get things done? I feel like the Blazers organization hasn’t fully committed to either one. I’m not saying this as a threat or putting them on the clock. The organization needs to show a level of urgency to get to the next level. Everybody knows I want to win and deserve that.*
* *This coming offseason is the most important one since I’ve been here in Portland.*
Again, nothing earth-shattering or different from what we expect, but it’s not a coincidence Dame is already on ESPN discussing the offseason and letting his thoughts and expectations about the upcoming season be known in high definition. I admire him for doing so.
P.S.> Amazing comeback win for the Bulls beating the Raptors in Toronto even with probably the worst officiating call I’ve ever seen at the end of any game giving Siakam three free throws, of which he missed two. Last night, the Hawks beat the Heat on the road. The eastern conference play-in games have been a total treat for us.

“This coming offseason is the most important one”? What about the last few years? Organization I mean Jody just wants to sell tickets aka money 💰.
