They need to pick a direction you can either tear it all down and rebuild or trade for a star and compete. This roster has the talent to do both a key team to watch in deciding which route they take is Portland if they sell their pick Pascal Siakam is probably the best asset they could get by the draft and if they sell dame not many teams can outbid Toronto
Trade fvv, let nn go, trade ps for some great consistent shooters and build around barnes
13.17 an hour.
He’s not on Toronto next year
in terms of Head Coach, i think an outside voice is the way to go
Time for a rebuild. Siakam, OG and Van Vleet gotta go.
Looking at OKC in the play in game with their young core, their future looks excellent.
Yall quick lol
Yikes. It’s worse than i thought.
I think that Toronto should decide to completely tank the next 3 years and here is why:
1. Raptors have no way to improve the team to be a contender or even a top 4 team in the East. No matter what this core has shown you its limits.
2. They owe the Spurs a top 6 protected pick in 2024 (or 2025 or 2026) by being bottom six all those years (which can be easy look at the Rockets), you only need to give them a 2027 second rounder if its protected 3 times. This allows you to keep building your team with top 6 picks for 3 years.
3. You trade all your current assets in sign and trades (cause most are expiring/restricted free agents), you won't get much but maybe if you take a couple of bad contracts you can get Dallas to give you their remaining picks for Siakim, and maybe a team that needs a PG like the Bulls gives you one pick to take Lonzo and give them FVV. You take in dead contract and rebuild from scratch. This will add assets to your team. You can also trade OG for 2-3 firsts. Now you have 1 pick owed and like 4-5 picks you got from other teams.
4. You will need to tank next year as well. It seems very clear that the top 10 in the East are pretty solidly where they are now. The top 4 will remain the top 4, the next 2-3 will remain in some sort of mix between 5-7 (heat, knicks, nets), and the rest will fight for a play in spot. Toronto will be in the same spot if they keep everyone next year and then realize they either give their draft pick away or they choose to tank (like the Blazers this year)
Rebuild that thing already. They’ve literally gotten worst every year since Kawhi left lmao. Trade Siakam and OG and also sign and trade Vanvleet and Gary Trent Jr. Keep Scottie and Poetl as well as their lottery pick this year.
Always next year go raps
Masai Ujiri needs to go. He's mismanaged this team just like he did in Denver. He just got lucky to scoop Kawhi when no one wanted him. He's done terrible signing scrubs and not trading when he should have during the trade deadline.
The core is Siakam, OG, Barnes. Everyone else is expendable.
I completely agree with Bobby. Everything he has said i this video I've discussed with my buddies lol
I love nn everyone uses his defenses. Box and 1 anyone
Just trade everyone
Build around FVV and treat him like franchise star player is a huge mistake. He’s not a 1st/2nd option. He’s just a role player.
If the Raps choose to keep Siakam, they need to realise he’s a good number 3. Not number 2, definitely not number 1.
Van vleet is a great 6th man.
Keep Scottie, & Jakob, trade everyone else. Bobby & Masai need to look in the mirror, & reevaluate their philosophy
Nurse should decide if he stays or not
If you look at Masai’s moves post bubble, he has not done a good job with building this roster. Stocking on lanky athletic guys who can’t shoot and doesn’t play smart. He’s won the chip and fans should be forever grateful. But he has to get the blame for this mess as well.
Call up OKC and see if they want Pascal
1. Get rid of Fred…
Just blow the team up
Fred is gonna end up like Schroder
Toronto don't have the top end talent, no real high confidence win no matter the cost players. They all seem somewhat timid. Time to rebuild, sell high on Fred and pascal.
I pray to God that there is a team dumb enough to pay BumVleet 30 mill a year to take him away from the Raps. The first thing Raps need to do during the off season is to get rid of ego driven selfish hero ball chucker Bumvleet. Then and only then Raps can improve.. but if Ujiri is stupid enough to pay and keep BumVleet on the team.. then Raps will be a treadmill team for a long long time.
I know it's a long shot and almost stupid for OKC to do.. but maybe somehow someway Raps can sucker OKC for a Pascal + OG + 2 first round picks for SGA?
Besides getting rid of BumVleet.. Raps need to take advantage trading Pascal while his value is still high. Something like Pascal for Garland and some bench pieces.. Raps get to start their rebuild with Barnes and Garland duo.. while Cleveland adding Pascal to their front court would make them a legit ECF contender.. both teams win
