… That New Orleans didn’t get the Lakers pick *and* missed the playoffs completely.
It kinda hurt, this season, watching us fall so swiftly,
while a team that we traded with started to look like a contender.
I want to believe that Cronin and Dame have good foresight and a solid game plan.
This week’s outcomes help me keep the faith.
I know y’all love C.J. but if they’re not in a Blazers’ jersey, I simply cannot wish them well.

I’m so much happier that we have good odds of a great pick instead of playing in the play in. All the fans of teams who are winning their play in games are getting hyped (as they should), but their reward for winning is most likely getting wrecked by the top seed in a 7 game series.
I think about this quote all of the time and I love that you referenced it here.
People are absolutely valid for knocking last offseason’s trades but if they brought those guys back they’d have over 80m in salary spread across aging Norm, CJ, Roco and Nance.
It’s some justice for last year’s Paul George/pick debacle after the Pels made it through.
