I think Simmons is damaged goods and wouldn’t touch him or that contract, and I think you overpaid Tre by about $30 mil. I don’t love giving out so many 3+ year contracts cause I think we’ll want to preserve our $$ for our own guys
If we got Wemby, I’d try something like…
– Trading w Dallas for the #10 pick. Give them Collins, Doug, and the Charlotte first and take back a shit contract. If that doesn’t get it done maybe add our second round pick or swap out the Charlotte first w the Toronto pick.
– Take Cason Wallace at 10
– Sign Naz Reid to be our starting center. 3 years ~$50, team option on year 3 if it doesn’t work out
– Sign Dev to a 4 year $100 mil extension
– Sign Tre to a 3 year $20 mil deal
– Sign Mamu, Barlow, Champagnie, and KBD to small 2 year deals w team options/non guaranteed $$
Biggest thing I disagree with is signing Grant Williams. That’s a massive overpay for him, he’d be making the same amount of money every year as Keldon, and he doesn’t have near the impact on the game as Keldon imo.

Tre and Williams contracts are massive overpays.

Don’t particularly like it, Tre getting that much would be wild, I don’t really like levert (find him to be a bit of a chucker), I find grant Williams to be solid but at that price is a little much, and the simmons trade (if you’re telling me his medicals check out then maybe, but giving up 2 good shooters and saddling his contract on your books for a guy who might not play basketball again is a huge risk)

I like the effort!
The obvious one to contest is the Ben Simmons trade. The dude has $78 million guaranteed over the next 2 years, while that’s short enough I’d be willing to at least consider taking on that contract for proper compensation, 3 SRPs isn’t enough compensation, especially if we’re also giving up 2 rotation players. Also, you gloss over his issues as a player. His mental issues are bad enough, but you don’t even mention his physical issues, he’s not the same player he was, and he never will be.
After that, I think any off season outlook that doesn’t address the 84% chance we don’t get Wembanyama is incomplete.
The rest is nitpicks. I like the idea of going for the playoffs if we get Wemby, but I’m not a huge fan of LeVert, and I don’t think we can convince Williams to sign with us if we’re not offering a starting spot. And like others have said, Jones was an overpay, but that’s *really* nitpicking since contract amounts are based on leverage and we don’t know who else will offer anything for him.

This is a cool tool! Is it free?
Ngl…I’d do things much differently
