I’m fine with this. Get him help or get him somewhere he can win.

I think this makes sense and is fair for both sides. I am fine with the Blazers making a big all in move for an established star. I am fine trading Dame for a less than perfect package (but still lots of picks and a few prospects) to get him to a good landing spot. I just don’t want some dumb all in move like trading the future for Draymond Green that makes us a 2nd round team for a few years. I actually think Cronin sees this the same way.

Watch the entire clip. This was really Stephen pushing him to give the blazers an ultimatum to fit his narrative but dame didn’t do it. Bleacher report ran the out of context quote anyway.

It’s been far to long. Either get him webby mama, or let him become a part of a team with a front office that cares about winning.

Nothing new, Dame has said this in some way for awhile now. It’s time to bring in other talent, unless you get the #1 pick, trade many picks.. trade some players.. bring in a big name big talent. Or get the roster close to doing that within the next year. No standing pat. If nothing happens, move Dame.

I mean, that’s definitely where we are at. It’s going to be an interesting summer.

I mean yeah. Kind of wish he’d pushed for this several years though

The screams in the background really add to the video.

The futures of both parties would be better off if they just trade him.

The Blazers aren’t winning a championship with Dame. No all-star caliber player is going to come here with this much drama and pressure around Dame winning a championship. And a draft pick doesn’t push the needle.

If you trade Dame, you get a solid return for a rebuild team. Teams will want him so even if a three team trade has to work to get Dame to a contender and draft picks to Portland, I think there are a lot of options. The team will still be plenty fun enough to draw fans and maybe even be in the playoffs in a year or two.

    Yawn.

This ain’t different from what Dame said after game 82.

We can’t really trade him unless we are willing to do that for 30 cents on the dollar. There aren’t that many teams with real need for a player like Dame AND the assets to get it done. Most of the competitive franchises have already parted with their picks and / or young players.

We also don’t have a way to build a championship caliber team around him in the immediate future. With good draft and development, maybe 2-3 years from now we can get somewhere but we do not go from bottom 10 to contender by trading for OG Anunoby.

Sounds good. I’m glad it’s out in the open. Go big or go home this summer

First time I’ve been worried about him leaving.

I want Dame to retire a Blazer. I want Dame to be the mega-contract player where the team doesn’t trade him to slip out from underneath the contract. Look at Wall, Westbrook, Chris Paul, even my current favorite non-Blazer Mike Conley. Each signed a huge deal only to get traded away. I want Dame and the Blazers to dig in, with Dame saying [I’M NOT LEAVING!](https://media4.giphy.com/media/SaX384PjtDl2U/giphy.gif?cid=2154d3d7f5z19gamg1np8pmr93owvy1dy30ic5ujpmqyrlrm&rid=giphy.gif&ct=g)
