He definitely needs more minutes next year. Think he has great potential as a shot creator/defender. I don’t think he’ll ever be as good as Vanderbilt defensively because his feet just aren’t that quick but as a switchable 4 he can be solid.

At minimum Rui has the potential to be a quality rotation player on a championship team.
Troy Brown Jr. and Wenyan do not. If Rui could just try like…85% has hard as those two he should be playing 30+ minutes a game and they can channel their enthusiasm into cheering from the bench.

Rui has been that guy for us when we are struggling to get buckets. His effort on the defensive end has been a surprise. He isn’t getting a ton of minutes but definitely has an impact on the game.

Hamburger need to give him more confidence, he need to draw plays for him, he is really an elite mid range killer, it would make us impossible to guard with AD LeBron Reaves and DLo, so many scoring options to be utilized.

Today I looked up the 2019 and was surprised to see Rui drafted #9 behind Zion.
It’s hilarious that as of right now, the Lakers have the better active player from the first round of that draft, and they didn’t even have a pick.
(And I’d rather have THT — taken with the 46th pick — than Jaxson Hayes, who NO took with the 8th).

Yeah he has some holes in his game but if he develops he has the potential to be an elite 3 and D wing. All star level.

Rui has slowly but sure earned his spot. I can see him starting at one point if we get deep enough. It’s just if you take him and reaves from the bench we are losing a big strength but when rotations shrink he will just be more valuable than Vando. I’m glad he’s earning this because it makes it sweeter for him and he’s being rewarded

Terrible, he’s been in the leave for 4 years. He may reach 15-17 log. But he has no showed consistency enough at this point.
Check out beginning of March when he was getting minutes, still below average stats. Great defender but offense is not fully there.
