If I had a dime for every time we were expected to make significant changes in the offseason/trade deadline and did nothing…

They’ll do what they want, no reporters gonna nail this one

    4D chess from Masai here.

Ownership forced him to compete. So he trades a top 6 protected pick that rolls for 3 years to handcuff the franchise into not being competitive and to force the team to go all out tank for the next 3 seasons. We get 3 #1 overall picks and draft an entire roster of Scottie Barnes types and trade Siakam for the pick that becomes Bronny Jr. Lebron comes to Toronto, and wins 5 rings in Lebronto 2.0.

TBH, making a coaching change is significant, same with possibly letting your PG go.

oh yes, now we’re trusting the NBA content person for heavy.com???

Masai and Bobby gonna fire themselves? That’d be a good start

Sure everyone expects it, this isn’t news.

This sub has really convinced me to do a trade with Portland.

If we could get our hands on Sharpe, Simons, their 2023 pick for Pascal I’m all for it. Would be an over pay on Portland side but they might have their hands tied with Dame.

I expect nothing to happen. I am familiar with your game Masai

Honestly we needed this wake-up call. We learned more about the potential of our “core” in one game than the entire season.

    The same article also said:

    > Interestingly enough, (Pascal) Siakam’s name is not as well regarded as you would have thought. The guy gets buckets. He can score. But it do think he and Gary Trent carry the same label. They can score, but I’m not sure they help you win.

Imagine thinking Pascal and Gary carry the same label lmao. Discard this report

Confirmed we aren’t making any moves

A trade with Portland imo is not the play. Pascal is not the problem with this team, the play in game in my opinion showed all of the faults lay with Fred as our starting point guard. When he’s hitting shots, we’re unstoppable, but when he can’t he does NOT facilitate. He gets blinders on and he chucks. He’s not a play maker, he never has been. Who do we go for? I don’t know. But a team with Pascal, Scottie, GTJ and Jak is wicked with a playmaking point guard.

I’m in the camp that we make Scottie a point forward, but I don’t know who in the current NBA fills the gap

Could someone explain the 3 year top 6 protected pick thing? Do the Spurs get to choose which year the pick is used?

We gonna sign the big free agent….Christian Wood

Read the article before commenting on this. This is some of the dumbest shit I’ve read on the raps.
