  1. RJ has consistently spoken highly of his time in SA and how it improved his game.

  2. I remember as a fan being hesitant about Richard being a 3 point shooter, but as usual Pop really will take em out of there comfort zone and make them essential for each and every single play they are on the floor. Trust in Pop, because we have been spoiled having him as coach and when he retires, it will be a sad day here in San Antonio…

  3. The Spurs definitely made Kawhi into the player he is.
Without Chip fixing his shooting-form,he will just be a defensive specialist not a superstar.
I always feel like people don’t give enough credits to our development team,we revived Danny,Patty, and so
many other decent role players .

  4. There’s a video of Tim Duncan pushing Richard Jefferson out of the way after he got traded to golden state. Also, Richard called San Antonio a shithole

  5. Hey Clan. Check out 41:04 of that interview, Jefferson talks about his interaction with Tim Duncan about the 2002-2003 Finals

  6. Wow! I am shocked that Jefferson would say something positive about the Spurs. To be fair, none of us as fans know what a particular player is going through personally. It was not a real great match to begin with but props to Jefferson for putting in the effort to adapt. Richard has a different type of personality and it seems like he just likes to yank people's chains sometimes. I did hear he was good friends with Timmy so he can not be all bad.

  7. Fans also didn’t give Jefferson a fair break at the beginning because we traded Bruce Bowen to get him. Totally not his fault, and then for him to struggle a bit to fit in as well….bad combination.

If memory serves, I think Bowen retired at the end of the season too, so Spurs we’re making a knowledge-based move, rather than betraying Bowen with the Jefferson replacement.

  8. Are we gonna talk about hawks winning play in since we wanna hate on them on any other opportunity 🤷🏽‍♂️

  9. I remember RJ was not insta-fit. But learning new tricks in your mid-30s — credit to him, man. (And credit to Clan for not speeding up the clip! On behalf of the over-50 crowd: muchos gracias. 🙏)

  10. So many pointless wins this season and it’s going to hurt the Spurs and ruin their chances of getting Wemby and that really pisses me off. Pop better make something happen next season because this team has been in shambles since Timmy retired.

  11. I also look back more fondly on Jefferson’s time than I think most Spurs fans do. I think a lot of the tension between fans and RJ started with not understanding the role Pop was asking of him compared to his salary.

  12. Small forwards need to play defense. 20 points per game in New Jersey wasn’t going to transfer to the Spurs.
