Scoot is good and we should definitely not pick anyone else at 2
Scoot has a killer's mentality and played NBA level talent for the last 2 years. Thompson twins have been playing against high school level kids.
Spurs either get 1st pick or trade down is what I'm hearing. Smart moves honestly.
I'm okay trading down and grabbing one of the Thompson twins if there's genuine concerns about Scoot's jumper – he's not getting any taller and we can't build a championship team around Westbrook 2.0 – but picking someone else other than Henderson or Miller at #2 makes no sense. You always pick best-player-available this early in the draft, and figure it out from there.
And let's just take a moment to imagine how Scoot would be playing against competition his own age.

Clan and I are well known to disagree since I like being correct. I'm on record as being a HUGE Amen fan and would gladly take him at #3 before Miller and Walker but Scoot t #2 is a no-brainer. I'd rather have Scoot and #2 than Wemby #1
It could also be SA trying to make sure Scoot falls further down should they not get #1 or #2 and is still available for them tbh

Amen has some crazy passing. I’m over here high on Brandon miller than topics in this video even though I know spurs won’t pick. And yeah scoot is playing against grown men in g league which does mean something. Miller is best player on best team in college basketball playing against top collegiate talent so I think it’s somewhat comparable
I would trade down to 3 or 4, take the win and grab a twin if that's what the front office wants.

I had been high on Amen Thompson until i watched his tape. The quality of players in OTE is so low. Despite that Amen´s efficiency was low. So many bad habits in his game. And Ausar is basically Josh Jackson’s clone.
Scoot is the 2nd pic. There is a drop off a bit after that. Spurs will pic best talent if they get 2nd pic and that is Scoot.
I trust Pop and the front office. The thing about the Thompson twins is they are just so athletic. The Spurs pride themselves in development of young players, think Leonard and Sochan. That being said, I personally prefer Henderson being the choice at #2 if that is where they will be selecting. It depends on the Spur's opinion on Tre Jones. Is he a starter on a contending team or just a important part of a second unit? I think with the right unit Jones can be very successful. Lets hope this is a mute point come draft time because we will be choosing #1.

If spurs pass on scoot I will give up on the spurs and never watch a game ever again. If we don’t get vic! But remember what the organization always said don’t believe what you read in the media! I honestly know spurs would not pass him up
Anyone that truly believes that the Spurs would pass on Scoot is delusional. If the front office happen to to just that then all of them need to be fired. Scoot is a Elite player that can bring you championship with the right cast.
I love Amen Thompson and would love to have him here, however, Scoot is a generational type talent that we can't pass up on if we get the 2nd pick.
I do not agree with the idea that Scoot is the obvious second choice. He can't shoot and I've yet to see passing highlights that make me think his playmaking is for real. I'd take at least half a dozen guys over him in the draft without hesitation.
This is definitely a smokescreen to devalue scoots draft stock. Spurs are definitely taking him if he’s available on the board. Spurs need talent over position
The problem is that there isn't one short super athletic guy who leads teams to titles in the NBA (other than Steph who is different because he shoots it lights out). Lets say Scoot is as good as Lillard, or Westbrook, Ja or Trae Young. That's not getting you anywhere. I struggle with the idea of picking a guy who might be a bad defender for his entire career but be a volume scorer. Maybe the Spurs are avoiding the trap that Atlanta and other teams fell into
Amen has wonderful defense and you can't judge that from a couple of stats and highlight videos you saw anyhow

I would still take Scoot at 2. As far as the turnovers in OTE though, I wouldn't be that concerned. I feel it's more a product of the style of play in that league. It's played with a lot more flash/raw type of play than most leagues. It's almost like watching old And 1 games or old NBA allstar games when they actually played some D but also tried to put on a show for the fans.
I'm sorry to say but I think his prototype of point guards are injury prone. Derrick Rose Ja Morant John Wall Steve Francis and the list goes on. Plus you can't teach height.
thats only part of the strategy of Brian Wright and the Spurs FO, remember the last draft, they also tell to the media that they like Ousmane Dieng but its only a strategy so that Spurs can get Jeremy Sochan. The Spurs FO are smart as ass man.
Some LJ Ellis take were not true, just like he wrote the Spurs dont like Jonathan Kuminga for Jakob (what a joke). He also said that there are teams willing to give Jakob two first round picks, then what happen we only got Jakob one 1st round pick. 😂 What happen LJ Ellis?
