In this clip, JJ Redick talks about the playoff series between LeBron James and The Los Angeles Lakers and Ja Morant and The Memphis Grizzlies. And JJ explains why Anthony Davis vs. Jaren Jackson Jr. is the most important match-up of the series.

Who's gonna guard Jaren tho? It's not gonna be AD because if it is then the paint is wide open for Ja, who's gonna be in the paint Rui? Lebron? 😂😂 Or then have lebron or Rui on Jaren (Major mismatch)
I feel like JJ is going to get exposed. This isn’t the regular season where you can play 28 per game. He’s going to have to play 40 which I don’t think he will able too because he has a foul problem.
who's guarding Ja?
except Tillman, Roddy, and sometimes Aldama will be guarding him while JJJ will be on Vanderbilt, who is ZERO threat on offense, so he can continue being a roamer on defense
so whats up JJ? who u got for the series?? u said lakers arent good now ur scared to pick memphis over them lol
only way dlo play is if he wants to lol. he hasn't been consistent. only time he look good was when he had the ball in golden state. tillman has to play big for gizzlies, we know JJJ is gonna get in foul trouble
I feel like Dlo is going to , if he has a couple 20 point games while the team produces it’s gonna be hard for the Lakers to lose 😬
Y’all putting to much hype around jaren jackson. Keep putting that pressure on him, he’s gonna understand that this not the regualar season no more.
AD is injured trying to stand up. 👽👽👽
Shannon Sharp getting ready for game 1💯
Ad need to be dominant in the playoffs if not im considering trading him this off-season
Shoutout to Tommy for growing and improving to be a great co-host alongside Reddick
DLo, Vando, and Malik for sure want a revenge on this grizz on their heartbreak loss in last year's playoffs.
you drinking hot coffee out of a straw, Tommy?
I think people SERIOUSLY underestimate the impact of the Lakers having played so few games together. Chemistry matters. Lakers' spacing was TERRIBLE against the T'Wolves, literally awful. Just a matter of not having played enough games together. That stuff shows in the playoffs.
Y'all just gonna ignore JJ got on a pocket Tshirt with a button on the pocket 🤔😂😂
where can i watch the full episode?
AD going to dominate lakers win the series
Gotta give Tommy credit he’s gotten better at this over time.
I think XT guards AD. JJ help defender as always
Memphis in 6.
question is how much foul trouble will JJJ be in guarding AD
I’m a laker diehard and wanna be positive but even at full strength unless 2 or 3 of the other guys not named AD and Lebron can give us big series we will not win any more than 2 games this series .. D’Angelo Reeves Schroder Beasley Rui 2 or 3 of those guys have to be big all series for us to have a shot .. on top of AD and bron playing damn near perfect .. Memphis are jus too young and athletic and the lakers are still a little beat up from earlier injuries ..and learning on the fly because half the team from training camp is gone and have new players .. I’m thinking Memphis in 6 maybe 7 …
JJJ is an aggressive defender which is why he gets so much fouls against him. If the refs allow the players to play, advantage Memphis.
AD will have 36 one game and then 17 another game 😂
JJ can u tell me who will go over and under for stats😊
The big question is also how well LeBron can dominate in a long, physical series at his advanced age.
Between AD and J. Jackson whichever one can avoid foul trouble and injuries, will probably win this series. Lakers have a chance bcuz Grizzlies are without two bigs in clark and Adam's.
Ball control will be what decides the series. Memphis can’t score in the half court, they are literally dead last in the NBA in the 4th qtr on the season. If Lakers don’t turn the ball over on sloppy play, which they have been prone to the last 2 weeks, they have a good shot at the series W.
It would be great if you explained some of the terms that a non basketball lifer might not understand….wheel play….drop, etc. It would also be great if you could throw in a few strategy sessions. Why do you switch on some screens and not others. When is a zone a good idea. Why do some guys grow roots and not move and other guys are always moving ? Why don't teams have set plays to intentionally miss a foul shot and why don't we see that more often ? Does a shooter look at where his rebounders are before he shoots ? I'm sure if you introduced the series and asked for questions you'd get a million of them. You've probably been playing organized basketball for 30 years so you might forget what terminology a mid level fan might need an explanation of. I love your podcasts ( except when you dissed Bird ) Keep up the good work.
Lol AD bodied Karl
JJ will be nothing really, grizz NEEDS Adams!
They should do to ja what they did to ant
It's going to be an interesting series. On the one hand, JJJ foul trouble with Steven Adams out could be huge. On the other hand the Lakers have shot more free throws than their opponent by a wide margin and many of those dry up in the playoffs.
How could you say the wolves played good when kat was acting like he was 5’10 the whole game
Sorry, gambling disclaimers don't make up for endorsing fantasy sports in a show that has a massive teenager following
Labron will run out of gas. Grizzly in 6 or 7. If LA "happen" to advance to 2nd round, their road will end there or sure.
For the Lakers to win, they need to do these 3 things:
LeBron needs to contribute a steady 25-30 points a game.
Anthony Davis needs to be the best player in the series & stay out of foul trouble
Lakers need to dominate the rebounding battle
When you guys are talking about a play, show the play instead of just describing it.
AD gonna get help from the refs. Don’t you worry.
JJJ is defensive player of the year but aii
Lakers haven't had home court advantage even at home this season. I 🙏🏿 they stay healthy and have fun.
Lakers should be thanking god that they don't have to deal with Steven Adams. If he was healthy, they'd be cooked.
Lakers have to contain Morant, Bane, Kennard, Tyus Jones, David Roddy
Grizz literally just have to disrupt LeBron &/or AD & it'll be a wrap … how the media even thinks Lakers will be competitive is mind blowing stuff
Solid don't recommend this chanel your Lakers bias is just over the top
AD’s IQ has been questionable…
Will DLO show up?
He was a negative on the floor for the wolves that’s why they let him go, defensive is important and he doesn’t play any.
We will see…
Jackson is NOT going to be guarding AD to start. He will be guarding Vando so that he can roam around to help out more. They’ve done this before and this is far more likely to at least start out. Yes, I’m sure Jackson will guard AD from time to time one on one but MEM wants to be careful and pick their spots
