Fred is the one who needs to be stripped of freedom and Scottie and OG should get some of that freedom full stop. You can’t succeed unless you try new moves and expand your moves and ways to get the shots off.
10-72 and 41-41 aint no different to me if you don't make the playoffs. Watching the Magics play, they look like the better team to me even if they didn't make the play-in. We work too hard for nothing. Fans pay too much for a ticket for nothing. Freedom can exist only when money isn't involved. You can have all the freedom if there is nothing expected of you. You want the big pay check, you're selling your freedom.

I agree w/ these takes 💯. This is why I think there needs tp be more role definition next season & if they don't do well w/ it then there will be consequences. Then depend on how things go you can add more to the player's plate. Too much freedom especially when guys are playing for self in a contract yr led to the product we saw on the court.
I’ve only heard Boucher and Masai mention selfish play. That should tell you everything you need to know.

In my opinion atleast 4 guys Masai Ujiri and Bobby Webster cannot bring back 1. Fred VanVleet 2. Pascal Siakam he shows that he cracks when it matter the most he cannot handle the heavy duty work when it’s most important. 3 Gary Trent, show that he is just burst of talent his plays cannot win games when it’s most important, and 4th Nick Nurse, why is what he said in the public you cannot tell your team you will quit before the assignment is completed saying you need to step away before the season ends is irresponsible. Here are some movies to re energized the fans because trust me lots of fans was turned off by this team especially in this country where they favourite teams are hockey and baseball why because 85% of the players are white! So here is a move we can attempt Zion Williamson for Pascal and Fred I would even pick up Ben Simmons this kat could find himself in a different country and different fan base, I also would bring back Josh Jackson.
Here's the honest truth Siakam can't be a #1 option on the Raptors, he's a complimentary player, he's a right hand man for a super star. Yes he's a star himself but not "The Star" if you get what I'm saying

yeah freedom is good but if your freedom limit others' growth, it aint freedom anymore. you get these people who is very athletic, yet you keep attacking the paint even though you are the slowest, and keeps getting blocked. vanvleet was right though, its just business for him, it showed. now, business right? based on his performance, we should not sign him.
Offense is supposed to flow through the PG. You can be a go-to scorer as a PG (although you don't have to be), but you still have to move the Fing ball and involve your teammates. Right now, Fred's too into Fred to play the 1 IMO. He also doesn't shoot well enough to start as a 2 and doesn't have the size to be anything else. I think he's becoming less valuable to teams as he tries to get that big payday. I know I'd like to see someone else running our offense next year.

Freedom is for players like Kobe there's nobody on this team that deserves freedom. Every time up the court every player on the floor should know where the ball is moving and where they need to be. They should have their main plays off heart. Then if they work on a little something for a specific team they want to try they can because they already mastered the main plays. Nurse needs to trust himself and his coaching staff, hold himself accountable he can't run a free offence then it makes it too easy for him to say it's the players fault plus he gets paid too much for that. We can't afford to keep benching players for fucking up their freedom because we got no bench. 😅
Yea the players should be high IQ players but that's not the way it is. Lowry is high iq, kawhi has high iq these other guys have ok iq and awesome genetics..and if the players suppose to have high iq then that means the coaches really suppose to have high iq 😀 they don't even have to play. They don't need genetics they need to get these players playing winning basketball they need to try things see what works and what doesn't.
