The Hawks have some really solid players. They played above their pay grade last night. You can't expect them to play at that level for an extended period of time. Boston isn't quite as physical as the Heat, but the Celtics have the Hawks' number. The won all three games against the Hawks this season. I think Atlanta can win one of their home games, but it wouldn't surprise me to see Boston sweep the Hawks. I'm excited to see what Quinn Snyder does with this team in the off-season. Should be interesting at the very least.
I think the hawks have to be thinking everyone counting them out they not supposed to be here so they have nothing to lose why just have fun and play free with the Celtics the pressure is on them sense they are expected to win that could be dangerous for them but we’ll see

trae young didn't beef with the assistant coach, the coach did himself, more funny it's Nate's son, trae was walking to the seats when he called him out, probably salty that Nate got fired ngl. And there was absolutely no need for that, the fact that they are leading by 10+ and that it's the 1st quarter and you start such stuff mid-game, horrible job from the coaches and of course their office who gave the green light for trae young trades before the play-in game, horrible staff…
JC has changed his game each of last few seasons to try to help team. When we got CC on a steal of a deal JC never complained he just adjusted to help team. This off-season he worked on shooting more spot up shots and deferred shot to Murray. I don't understand why hawks are so set on trading one of the best athletes in league who plays so selflessly. His 3pt % isn't where we as fans want it at the moment but is there anyone else who we can bet on working harder to help team? In my 3 decades of enjoying hawks basketball we have never been a place the star free agents seem to consider. With all that in mind I hope front office decides JC should be part of this team for years to come.

If hawks win game 1 in Boston then I could see a first round upset against the Celtics but Boston is probably still winning the championship this year.

When they gel, they're a threat with a blitzing offense. But they were riddled with injuries this year with as many as 4 of our starters out at the same time. Team chemistry comes and goes from game to game. That's their weakest spot even more so than their defense. Glad you mentioned Okongwu, underrated player flying below the radar.
Hawks just need to stop over helping on drives. Especially bogi. Teams break their 3 pt record against the hawks.

I agree with much of your assessment. I'd say there's a 30-40% chance they win the series. JJ using the playoffs as the stage for his breakout performance. The guy is a beast, even amongst the best athletes in the world. Hope he keeps playing confidently!
Celtics fan here, and I gotta say, the Hawks are underrated. They're not that far removed from their Conference Finals appearance and they have solid players. Looking forward to the match up.
