  1. Damn and r/bostonceltics called me a madman because i didn’t wanna play the heat. Guess I just don’t believe in the Jays 🤷‍♂️

  2. ii-Leonidas-ii

That’s going to be a nagging injury all playoffs. Tail bones take forever to get right.

  3. AmbitionExtension184

Bucks fans wills never shut the fuck up regardless but I’d prefer to beat them fully healthy if it came to a Celtics v Bucks ECF

Those fans love excuses for losing to better teams and now they have one.

Can not be understated how big Hawks beating the heat was in the play in.

I have no doubt that we’d be able to beat the heat but injuries are nearly a guarantee with how physical (dirty) they play. Hope it’s nothing too serious

  5. holographoc

Lol Ok, all y’all who were scared of the heat for injury/ fatigue reasons, you were right.

  6. FrankieBarbingo

Damn. Injuries fucking suck. Hope he’s okay.

  7. Lionheart8190

I’ve been saying for weeks I didn’t want to play the Heat for this very reason.

Someone always ends up hurt playing them. They play physical and usually reckless basketball. Them playing the bucks was the best case scenario for us, so they could wear them down. I do feel bad if they end up with any serious injuries though, I don’t want an asterisk next to a potential championship because “Giannis was hurt”.

  8. JoJonesy

well this sucks. hope he’s OK, as much as I don’t want to see the Bucks in the ECF you hate to see shit like this happen

but yeah, as others are saying… glad we’re not the ones playing the Heat in the first round

  9. renegradermax

Could care less if they’re fully healthy bucks fans wouldn’t give us the benefit of the doubt a chip is a chip no matter who you go through 🤷‍♂️

  10. srstone71

And people were nervous that we went through the motions for the final 24 minutes yesterday to make sure we came out of the game healthy.

  11. cjpender88

Herro just had a hand injury too. Karma be damned, let ‘em beat each other up

  12. HoonCranker69

Where did all the “I’d rather play the Heat than the Hawks” morons go? Been awfully quiet in here!

  13. MeddlingMike

Hope Giannis is OK. All rivalry aside he seems like a quality human being…and Bucks fans will NEVER fail to mention it when we bring up Banner 18.

  14. Which-Imagination-82

It was such a nasty fall. Hopefully the injury isn’t too bad. Cringed so hard watching it.

  15. Dondon1927

This has potential to be serious. Tailbone injuries take forever to heal. Impacts how quick your reactions are and your defense since you have to be in a crouch position. Hope he gets better quick

As much as I’ve complained about Tatum not embracing contact, his avoidant playstyle certainly contributes to his prolonged health. Both Morant and Giannis were injured today jumping into a defender in front of the rim. Tatum likely would’ve tried to side-step or shoot a floater before he reached the defender.

heat would’ve injured us especially lowry

  18. ojo_pipa

Just watched the fall and man that legit looked scary

  19. Mistr111398

Exactly why I’m so glad we dodged Miami in the first round, for one they always seem to have our number, and there’s always some long term injury coming out of that series.

  20. Scrabbydatdat_TheLad

Let’s be real. This would be a close game even if Giannis was playing. I took no part in the debate but in retrospect we absolutely made out like bandits with the Hawks

  21. Re-Brand

I was just talking to my brother-in-law about this yesterday. The heat have much more potential to bang up and wear out a first round opponent, which really plays into the Celtics favor.

  22. Interesting-Track376

I think I’ve said it like 20 times during this game but I’m so thankful we are not playing this Heat team. I still think the Bucks win the series just like we would but the grind to get through them…… tough

  23. cargo-jorts

I hope he’s ok, and I hope he’s ok for the ECF. A title is a title no matter what, but I don’t wanna give anyone a reason to minimize it cause Giannis was injured

  24. PepeSylvia11

What’s all this talk in this thread of the dirty Heat? They played no part in Giannis throwing himself on the ground on his tailbone.
