I would love to have D Rose back on minimum contract if he’s down with being like a Udonis Haslem type role being a mentor to our young players. You can tell how much respect guys like IQ and Grimes have for Rose I hope he retires a Knick.

I would love to keep D-Rose rostered in a Udonis capacity on a vet min. His playing days looked long done this season, but if he thinks otherwise, he’s free to go somewhere he can get some minutes.

He’ll take minimums thanks to adidas.

Everyone loves a feel-good story… But I honestly don’t want to waste a dollar on a player if they’re not playing as a player. There’s many roles and capacities that can be part of an organization to positively affect players…
If he’s down to be an assistant coach then that’s great… that doesn’t count against the cap

Love rose he needs to retire a knick. Fuck all the other noise culture guys imo are one the most important pieces in creating a winning vibe within an organization. Helps build an identity within the team and helps ease new players joining our team into the NBA. As much as we shit on them UD has been great for the heat and is one of the reasons that team has always been considered one of the best run in the NBA.

I know he’s been a pro in his time here, but let’s not forget it seems likely he r*ped someone

I really hope the Knicks keep him in that Haslem role for as long as we can but he’s prob gonna retire a Bull

Nah, let him go back to Chicago and retire there. That’s the only place where he should just be on the bench, that franchise owes him.

Love him too but we need the money.

He has a team option for $15m that they’ll probably decline to clear cap space to extend Hart & IQ. They could renegotiate for a smaller deal but he probably wants to go somewhere where he’ll get some minutes
EwingsRevenge21
Put him in as a coach. He will be out point guard whisperer.
Seriously though, Derrick is an introvert, I’m not too sure that he would want to be a coach. Perhaps he can consult instead of having a full-time gig…

How do we feel about giving him a min contract?
