Defense is all about effort Trae doesn’t put no effort into his defense he just lets his man beat him at will. But gets excited when the other team scores and he gets to bring the ball back up court. He small but god dam he can at least try to be pesky

It is obvious by the number of dislikes that people don't understand this segment or didn't watch the video at all.
Trae isnr a superstar go to player doesnt take over games doesnt care to play defense. Is careless with the ball. His stats dont mean anything when your team is underachieving and getting humiliated. If Hawks can get good players for him. I would be all for it. Hawks play better with him off the court. and hawks are paying him what 215 Million? What a joke
Maybe it's always been this way but it seems like there are a TON of great on paper "when he's healthy" players and post-game highlights players. They make the money of a top player but only play 3/4 or 1/2 of the season or even less. Or they pull off amazing highlight plays and put up stats but go 3-19 or 5-20 or 7-30. The numbers look good but the opposition is scoring 30 fast break points off of those misses.

7:45 saying Jamal and dame share the same weakness as a perimeter defender is like saying ben Simmons and jimmy butler share a weakness of 3 point shooting. Like, yeah neither is great, but one is passable, and the other is a liability. Dame is a serious defensive liability, jamal is actually good on point guards, but just not big enough to guard anyone 6’5” or bigger.
Kemba walker 2.0 he’s gonna rack up the stats and he’s really fun to watch in the regular season when it comes time for the playofffs his height weight and lack of defense is gonna make it really easy to game plan against him and lastly TRAE YOUNG IS A BITCH CELTICS IN 4
Trae Young is definitely not the issue. The roster is flawed and the team is inconsistent from the three.
Trae is just too small.. He will never be a successful number 1 option.. He needs to play with someone way better than him but then it doesn't really even make sense to have him since he's so useless off the ball.. Hes truly the type of player who's never going to win anything but can look really good on a team that is just built around him I guess.
Trae Young:
– most turnovers of any player
– negative net efficiency
– one of the worst FG% while having nearly the most attempts
– no defense
How is this person in the NBA as sportcasters cry about Westbrook, who is better in every stat but point total.. but still has a better shooting % than Trae…

Trae young, is inefficient right now. The league changed its rules so players like trae can't create intention fouls against the defense. He hasn't adapted well. He can't get to the line consistently like his first 3 years prior. Hes a liability on defense and on offense. He needs the ball to be effective in his hands at all time but doesn't play defense. He isn't great good or elite at off the ball movement or decision making off the ball. This team is built to contend but trae has to change his game to maximize this team. And its sad because everybody knows what im saying has truth in it
😂😂😂 trae young take bad shots n his volume of misses. Last game 5-18 n the last 7 playoffs games 8-49 . He’s getting his assists cuz his team actually scoring off of his assists. 43% this season n career average. 34% from the 3s, n 35% for his career… Hawks drafted well n made trades

Trae needs to eat, sleep, and breathe CP3 highlights if he wants a chance of remaining a star in this league. Small guards don’t last if they can’t play off ball or be serviceable on defense. Shot chucking and arguing with teammates/coaches will have him out of the NBA if he doesn’t tighten up
