I’m going to be super sad when I need to watch the national broadcasts next 3 series. I like the home announcers.

Great game out of basically everyone minus harden but that’s why basketball is a team game.

Embiid is just so good his stat line isn’t 100% great but then again you need the eye test vs box score. The Nets gave up trying to score on him and just lived and died by the 3. He got his teammates so many open looks. Stupid steals at the end that was some petty shit by Brooklyn.

  2. RisingEephus8

Couldn’t be more thrilled with Embiid’s performance. Doubled all game, rightfully frustrated, but kept his cool in the 4th where he settled in, dropped dimes, and dominated the rock as soon as they stopped doubling. Plus the fucking blocks. Generational.

  3. Badtrip9817

20 points 19 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 blocks and a steal – all while being doubled most of the night at the offensive end.

Joel Embiid **is** your NBA MVP

  4. tfair18

This was the game Brooklyn should have stole. They have to replicate that game plan and just hit a few more shots. Glad to see our guys grind through that and get the dub

  5. MaxeytoEmbiid

20/19/7 from all-generational world Joel Embiid. Tobias Harris has been huge so far in the two games, and what about Tyrese Maxey?

Not just the offense, but Tyrese’s defense was amazing tonight. There were possessions where he guarded like 3 different dudes, just an insane animal. A dog you could say.

  6. Final_Ad_3456

I think that’s the first time in Harden’s career that he hasn’t had a free throw in 2 games in a row. He doesn’t get the obvious calls anymore.

He played like crap but was a little better in the 2nd half. He’s clearly struggling due to his achilles. Doesn’t look like he can get the burst or the agility to go up in the paint due to the achilles in my opinion. Although, the Nets were helping madly Embiid and Harden when they go to the paint.

  7. Mental_Attitude_2952

People need to relax. That was the best shot the nets had and they still got beat by double digits.

Harden was not great, but mostly it was shots not going in. I think he needs to work on not letting refs no calls effect him so much going forward. Mostly I’m not worried about him at all because I dont need him to score 25 points. Just play good pg.

Maxey, when this kid is done playing will be known as a great playoff performer. He just comes up huge in the playoffs.

Embiid, dude is just special. Takes cheap shots, triple teams, and has to deal with the nets basically deciding not to let him score, so he comes out and rebounds, makes the right pass, and still uses shear will to put 20 in. The guy is something else.

This was never going to be a long series, but credit to the nets for not just rolling over. Let’s hope they aren’t the scumbags the Raptors were last year and try hard but dont take a bunch of cheap shots as we near the end on the next two games.

Now we need the hawks to atleast put up some kind of effort tomorrow. Atleast make their starters play the whole game.

Shoutout to Tobias Harris for coming ready to play these past two games…if he keeps it up the sky is the limit for this team.

  9. runnerd81

We hate on Doc a lot but that was one hell of a halftime adjustment

  10. TheSixthPistol

Despite a putrid assist to turn over ratio, a below average 3 point shooting game, not having the whistles going our way, Harden really having a bad game, we find a way to win.

Harden doesn’t have the lift anymore. He was slow to get up the last game. He might be banged up more than we know. Maxey gotta step up for the rest of the way.

  11. RisingEephus8

Honestly everyone fucking balled in their own way tonight minus Harden and Niang. Confident in letting Embiid QB the O with kickouts to Maxey and Tobi more than I am with the rock in Harden’s hands

  12. creamy1talian

COACH CAL NEEDS TO SIT COURTSIDE EVERY GAME

  13. thegrittyrn

Harden might need to start bitching about the refs tbh. It’s insane how he’s getting officiated these past two games

  14. GirlWithGame

Embiid cracking me up saying he needs the Memphis scorekeeper 🤣

  15. bigSpeakersReddit

i’m sure it’s been said a million times, but this is just a game Joel goes 6/21 and we lose 3 years ago. he’s just so much better.

i would like to see him raise up and shoot the mid range a little more if he chooses to attack the double. some of his drives seem like he just wants to put people through the basket and when there’s literally an entire defense on you, it can be tough when you’re not a crazy vertical athlete.

just imo though, think he’s performed at a real high level despite the scoring dip

  16. Cleanupdisc

If you told me before this season that we would face brooklyn in the first round and that we wouldn’t see or mention Ben Simmons, i probably would have believed u HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH .

  17. LLT-Chief

Harden didn’t do great offensively but he still had good assist numbers. Also 4 steals. Not too worried about him considering we have Embiid and Maxey big on offense. Hope he bounces back in brooklyn.

  18. Man the Kings are fun to watch. Rooting for them if the Sixers get eliminated.

  19. Alex8796

Wtf happened to Claxton? Seemed like he was dominating for a while then fell off a cliff.

  20. November_Coming_Fire

I’m more of a sixer fan than nba fan. Meaning that I pretty much only watch sixer games. I think I’m going to watch some of these other series to see if there is anything close to the amount of physical contact Embiid has to deal with every time down the court.

  21. throwawayjoeyboots

Harden isn’t the same guy anymore. It is what it is.

Players age. Not everyone is LeBron and can stay on HGH through 40. I don’t know why this fanbase has to pull the mental gymnastics and pretend like he’s still a superstar. He’s a really good player but we can’t have games like this and expect to reach the finals.

  22. Final_Ad_3456

Just checked it, and the last time Harden didn’t have a free throw 2 games in a row was in the 2009/2010 season with OKC…. when he was a 6th man. He has only had 8 free throws in his last 6 games. Let that sink in…. for your main PG to only have 8 free throws in the last 6 games says it all about these officials at the moment.

  23. jalen_hurts_hog

jayson tatum is asshole, why charlie hate

  24. _mousecop_

Man I hate to say this because he’s a huge part of the chemistry of this team, but Niang just cannot see the court in these playoffs. Huge contributor in the regular season, but he can’t get open for spot ups and his rebounding/defense is just such a weakness when he’s on the court. It has to be Shake/House for those minutes, they’re not going to be any worse for wear than Niang has shown.

  25. tommmy987

Missed the end of the game how come mcdanuels closed over tucker?

  26. Calcutta637

I know it’s good vibes cuz we’re winning but so far this is a great series and I really like the nets as a team. I mean that dunk was a little douchey but overall it’s not as much of a shitfest that is playing like Toronto or Boston. I like the defense they play too
