The other LA team snagged a Game 1 victory, with the Los Angeles Lakers defeating the Memphis Grizzlies 128-112. LeBron James was one of four Lakers to score 20+ points (Anthony Davis, Rui Hachimura and Austin Reaves were the others) despite a more ‘quieter’ game. Colin credits LeBron for adjusting despite his struggles.

I don’t feel like Lebron was tired. He was great defensively. And his guys had it in the 4th.
Westbrook is not one of the best athletes at this age in his career.
No problem at all because the clippers got enough shooter, all Russ needs to do is layups, dunk, assist, defend and rebound, he can still do it very well because he is still very fast, athletic and strong.

LeBron could've taken the ball and tried to do it himself, but let's be honest he probably would've failed. Most superstars would've done that and lose the game in that situation. Glad to see he trusts his teammates and has the real winning mentality. That's the only way Lakers can go far in this year's Playoffs.
The difference is Clippers can afford Westbrook now. They only pay him $874k after the UtAh buyout. Lakers we’re paying him $47mil. And couldn’t get the haul of good players they have now. So, yes Westbrook is helpful for that vet. Minimum salary because Clips can keep other good players. But Lakers needed all those younger, cheaper players to fill out their roster for help. So it’s worked for both.
